He had never asked for her help.
Truly, he kinda appreciated it when she didnât butt in in his decisions and whatever he did. When he went out in the snow for whatever reason (as much as he liked staying home, going outside to collect information and do whatever else, especially escape all that idly chitchat coming from the other customers was the best decision right now), Noiz hadnât expected Lucina to actually say something â though, he should have. People gave him weird looks as he was about to leave the hotel, some even tried to put some âsenseâ into his head. It pissed him off.
When Lucina had materialized herself, lectured him and touched him, it was when the youth finally snapped at her.
âDonât touch me!" Though his idea was to knock her away from him, there was barely enough strange on his arms to push her too far. It was strange, though quite interesting, to see his body acting so weirdly. He couldnât feel it. He couldnât feel anything other than the dull sensation of having his Servant touch his body. Noiz couldnât feel the cold, but his body still reacted. The male was freezing, his body shivering, limbs becoming numb. Even his breath was starting to become shallow, almost as if to leave him.
And even if death was almost like at his door, he wouldnât accept any help from anyone at all.
The push, though likely intended to put distance between them, merely caused Lucina to stumble and fall to her knees. The snow was far too deep for her to keep her balance, especially with the weight of a fully-grown man burdening her. She struggled to her feet once more, growling a bit more under her breath.
It was all beginning to seem far too familiar.
"You're being unreasonable!" the servant insisted, tightening her hold on his arm despite his protests. She honestly didn't know what he had been thinking, pushing himself to his limits in such a way. Surely he knew that if he stayed in that cold too long that dire consequences would follow? "If we don't find you a source of heat soon, you will die. Come on!" Despite the desperate tug she gave, she could feel his body temperature dropping (or had it already been that low?) and his limbs getting stiffer. It all seemed futile, but she wouldn't relent.
She hadn't known him for long. She couldn't even say she had enjoyed his company for that time. But Lucina couldn't lose anyone else. She simply couldn't.
