     “Y-yeah, I haven’t had a haircut in a while… I’ve tried brushing it, but no matter what I do, it always sticks out like that for some reason. 

“Nothing a little fairy magic and some persistence can’t fix!”

She conjured a hairbrush, seemingly out of midair, and pushed Naegi down into a chair.

“Now don’t struggle or this is gonna hurt way more!”

     Dang, how did she already know that he was bi? Was it that obvious? Did he just give off that vibe, or did love fairies just know things like that? He probably shouldn’t think too hard about it…

    “I mean, I don’t really have anything else to do, so we can start whenever you’re ready, but… This doesn’t cost anything, right? I’m kinda broke…”

“Oh, don’t worry a thing about money! I can use magic and steal things, so we are all gucci!”

She winked at Naegi, before actually taking a good look at him and noticing his unkempt hair with the aheago sticking out from the top. Wow he really was the perfect idiot protagonist..

“We really need to trim your hair first though. It sticks out from all angles and looks like a 5 year old cut it.. and when’s the last time you brushed it? It’s like a rat’s nest in here!”

She snapped her fingers and turned invisible to the boy in front of her, then reappeared.

“I see. Guess you can’t believe everything you read. As for nasty situations. I have a spear that handles most of that.” He doesn’t bother to mention the only person he usually has to talk to is himself.

“So…Why are you here Miss Fairy? I assume you have a reason for appearing before me?”  Even if the only reason was to correct him.

     In all honesty, he had no idea how to respond to any of this. He had never hallucinated before, so he wasn’t keen on just denying what he was currently seeing and hearing, as unrealistic as all of this seemed. A love fairy helping him with his love life sounded like a plot straight out of a dating sim… Still, for now he had to believe it. 

     “… Am I really going to be your ‘greatest accomplishment’? I mean, I’m pretty average.”

“That’s why! You’re so boringly average that no lady or man will ever want to date you! But now that’s all going to change!”

“Now we gotta start right away if you wanna turn from.. dumb protagonist to walking bi magnet!”

Still, she was kind of right… He hadn’t exactly gone on many dates - Actually, he hadn’t been on any. The fairy giggled to herself as she circled around Naegi to get a good look at him. Yup, just as she thought. Plain and boring, nothing really special going on. Another case of dumb protagonist, really.

He didn’t think he’d done anything to make her upset with him… Though, it wasn’t as if he wasn’t used to being insulted for seemingly no reason, not when he had classmates like Togami. 

    “I’m… Not sure what you mean by that, but if it really bothers you that much I guess I could go hang out somewhere else.”
