Tohru insisted, though she was pretty surprised to hear this person hadn’t seen a school uniform before... Was she not from around here? Maybe she was new?

Tohru laughed awkwardly, this had to be a joke, right? She wasn’t very pretty and her clothes were just her normal school uniform..

Tohru stated the obvious as she looked over the girl in front of her. It wasn’t uncommon to have new people in town, but something stood out about this girl. She didn’t think the girl was part of the zodiac curse, but there was something.. off? Tohru wondered if maybe they could be friends! Though the girl probably was a little creeped out after being approached by a random stranger asking her questions...

🥢 - “Gettin’ tired, kid?” Akane instinctively puts her arm around the other girl’s shoulder as she leaned on her, ruffling her hair like she would with any of her other brothers or sisters back home. 

“’S okay. I won’t move.”

“I’m sorry.. I hope it’s not too much trouble..”

Tohru murmured, her eyes already closing. She must be getting sick again from working and studying so hard, and it didn’t help that she lived in a tent in the middle of the woods. She really didn’t want to burden or trouble anyone, especially not Akane when she has enough to deal with... she was just getting in the way.

     “Really? Aw, we’d love to have you there! Everyone’s really nice!”

     Sayori practically beamed at that - Not many people were very interested in joining the Literature Club, so it made her really happy to hear that. She wondered what kind of poetry Tohru would write… Probably something sweet or nostalgic, but that was just the feeling Sayori got from her.

“From what you’ve told me, they seem really nice! I can’t wait to meet them!”

Tohru didn’t think she was a very good writer herself, but that didn’t mean she wouldn’t try! She would write her heart out if it meant that it made Sayori happy. She always wondered what Sayori wrote about... Maybe something about sunshine or happiness? That was what she usually thought about when she thought of Sayori.

     “Alright, it’s settled then! I’ll make sure to give you some chocolates at lunch time!”

    She didn’t have any chocolates on her at the moment, of course, but she figured Natsuki would, so she would try to get some from her via pity. Hmm, what else did people do on Valentine’s day?

    “Oh, we should hang out after school, too! I have Literature Club today, but I mean like, if you wanna come to that I’m sure everyone would be happy to have you! Otherwise I can just text you after it’s done, ehehe…”

“Oh, I've always wanted to go to your club! I've just been so busy with work and studying that I keep forgetting to ask...”

She giggled sheepishly, and while she hoped Sayori wouldn't spend money on her (ie. The chocolates) she knew she couldn't stop her once her mind was set on something. She loved her determined nature...

There's no real fighting the exhaustion stress and psychical activity have put on Akane, even she had become relatively aware of that. She, however, has a very loose meaning when it comes to personal space. She puts her head on the back of the acquaintance that had invited her over for a few hours - closing her eyes as she mutters : "I'm just gonna take a nap, okay?"

“Oh yes of course! Sleep as long as you want!” 

Tohru smiled as her new acquaintance leaned against her and was finally relaxing. Even though they had not known each other for too long, she felt like Akane deserved this. She deserved to rest. And Tohru was glad to give her the space to do so.

“Oh no no! I’m not trying to steal from you or anything! I-I just got lost and I wanted to retrace my steps.. That’s what Yuki recommended for me to do when I did!”

“You look just like my friend Usagi! I think it’s your eyes!” Chopper finally realized the odd style in which her facial features stood out. Perhaps some girls simply looked more innocent than the ones in his crew. “If you’re not a threat, I guess I should apologize for accusing you of trying to rob me. Sorry.” With that, Chopper bowed his head apologetically, not wanting to hurt her feelings.

“It’s all right! You don’t have to apologize! I’ve had people rob me in the past so I understand..”

She laughed a bit, trying to reassure the odd creature in front of her. She had seen a lot of strange things, like humans turning into animals, so this didn’t bother her. Though she had no idea who Usagi was.. she really hoped it wasn’t someone bad..

“ what happened to you? “

    “What? O-oh, uh, nothing! I just, um… Fell down a while ago!”

     Izuku was never a good liar when put on the spot, so when this stranger suddenly asked him a question like that, he was left fumbling for a response. Obviously he couldn’t tell her what had actually happened - that was too shady and would likely warrant a call to the police - so he spat out the first lie that came to mind, even though it was clearly worse than just ‘falling down’. 

     “I’m fine, really, ahaha… I’m just clumsy, that’s all.”

“O-Oh okay.. You just seemed like you needed help, and you are um.. bleeding a lot..” 

She pointed at the injury Izuku had, which seemed like it wasn’t gonna stop bleeding anytime soon. She really didn’t think he had fallen down, but she wasn’t about to confront him about that.

    Sayori reassured her with a smile. If anybody deserved a Valentine this year, it was Tohru - Especially since she’d lost her mother recently, Sayori simply couldn’t allow her to be alone today!

     “Aw, you wouldn’t ruin anything! I think things are better when you’re around, anyways!”

A blush spread across her face because of Sayori’s kind words. Normally she would just spend Valentine’s day with her Mom but, since she passed away, she had no one to spend time with. Tohru couldn’t bother her friends, she would just get in the way. 

“W-Well alright! As long as it’s okay with you, then yes! I would love to be your valentine, Sayori!”

🥢 - She couldn’t be like this. The last thing Akane ever needed to do was show weakness. She kept repeating those words to herself like it would change the fact that she was cowering the the corner of the alley, there’s blood spattered across her white t-shirt, hanging onto her forearms with a force strong enough to draw blood.

Stop shaking. You can’t let anyone see you like this.

“Nothing….happened!” She snapped, the retort coming out between heaving breaths as felt herself on the verge of tears. 

Nothing happened. If she keeps telling herself that, maybe it would come true. Maybe she could pretend she hadn’t gone completely nuts because some creep slid up behind and touched her arms.

Don’t touch me! Don’t fucking touch me!

“I’m…I.m fine! L-leave me alone!”

She rambled as she ran to the girls side, careful not to overstep her boundaries. She didn’t even know the girl in front of her, but Tohru wanted to make sure she was okay.
