Okay, horror movies weren’t that scary. Sure there was gore, blood, demons and such but, nothing to bad. Yoko hadn’t even bothered to look what she had blinded picked while opening her beer one handed. It wasn’t until a laugh at the beginning of the movies did she stop and look.

Fuck her.

It had cl o w n s. If there was one thing Yoko couldn’t stand, it was clowns. It was the most stereotypical phobia for people her age to have and she hated that it was her weakness. It wasn’t only a weakness, but a weakness she really didn’t want Mariku to know about. She tried to stuff down her nerves and watch the movie. It’d be fine. Probably a terrible film with cheap make up and cheap scares. Ha! Yeah, no problem...no problem at all, right?

Twenty minutes in she was huddled so close to his side she could have been a conjoined twin. 

Two jump scares later and she was somehow in his lap “hiding” from the film by gripping his shirt and pressing her face against the fabric like it’d somehow protect her from the fucking clown on the television. She’d feel shame if she wasn’t petrified. She didn’t scream right before that either, nope. Yoko didn’t scream. Especially not like a little girl. 

Fuck clowns. Fuck them with their creepy ass make up and child luring in gags and tricks. They could, and should, go to hell.

She felt him slump a few moments ago, but was more focused on the terrible horror film on the television, complete with a man being sawed in half by a car that hadn’t stopped. These sort of films were her guilty pleasures, she loved watching movies with heavy gore and violence, even if said movies were bad with awful effects.

She assumed he was being dramatic and playing dead next to her to try and scare the shit outta her next time a jump scare would present itself. It was only when his head rested on her shoulders that she looked over. He fell sleep on her, huh.

Yoko didn’t really know what to do, and just stayed frozen for a moment, watching his eyes move from beneath his eyelids from a dream she’d probably never know about. His face was relaxed and his body seemed so comfortable, despite him using her much smaller frame as a sort of support. He almost looked like any normal guy.

“Hey, ya really going to pass out on me?” He didn’t respond, so she shifted her shoulder to lower him completely on her lap. Every once in a while, she’d find herself running her thumb across his cheekbones. Hell, she didn’t even realize she’d begun chipping her blood from his arms and hands until the movie was almost finished.

If she was dumber, she’d almost say he looked innocent.
