where: Auror and Hit-Wizardsâ Pub who: Isaac Buchanan and Sander Hellqvist ( @sxnder-hxll· )
Isaac loved the pub. He does. Not so much because of the food although it was definitely enough to sate a growling stomach after a long day of work. And definitely not because of its service. The pubâs staff has a tendency to prioritize those who held offices or higher ranks over rookies like him. What he did love was the atmosphere. The walls have heard decades of stories filled with triumph and defeat. There was always a good story one can overhear by keeping their mouth shut and listening around them.Â
That night was a perfect night for doing so. Isaac went without colleagues but he was perfectly content leaning on a high table as he nursed an ice-cold pint. He was in the middle of listening in on someoneâs story about their oldest arrest when he saw a tall fellow walk in. He hasnât seen the man around before and it was clear to Isaac that the other man hasnât been to the bar before as he looked for an empty seat and tried to catch the attention of the waiters.Â
When the man walked by him, Isaac took pity and decided to let the man know how things worked in the pub. âDonât bother,â Isaac said. âTook me twenty minutes, just to get this.â He lifted his glass for emphasis then brought it to his lips to take a sip.
From the moment Sander entered the doorway, shifting eyes were glued on him. If Sander was a little more shallow heâd assume it was for his handsome features or how how much his tweed, top coat flatterd him. However he wasnât and understood why they actually were on him.... This was an establishment much like little around-the-corner shops he had at his own department. Aurors, hit-wizards, and more circulated here which meant that Sander had to get his in somehow. Luckily it seemed like his chances would be placed before him, in the form of a slender, strong-jawed man.Â
Walking through the bar, he maneuvered towards a pocket at a high table where he could order a beverage. In moments his opportunity seemed to speak to him. âHmm.â he hummed, glancing at the maleâs drink and further down the bar where his tender was at helping several other witches. âIt seems to be a running occurrence.â Sander purposely tightened his accent up, delivering a more traditional Parisian tone to his speech., â---here in Londonâ. Sander wasnât trying to speak ill of the other wizardâs home but he definitely wasnât home anymore. âSadly I lack the patience you clearly have.â his smile twisted, as he reached for Isaacâs pint. It happened abruptly but in seconds the Swedish wizardâs lips were pressed against the glass to sip. âHmm, not what I was expecting but itâll do.â pulling his attention back over to Isaac, âIâll pay for another one...mind fetching her down. Youâve done it once already, right?âÂ
