The team liked to tease that Jesse was at his most tolerable when he’s asleep, and though Laura would disagree she couldn’t deny how cute Jesse looked when he was asleep. Especially when he was asleep due to having an overload of good food in his stomach. Laura’s food to be exact. She sat with him while he slept, hands cradling his full stomach. She couldn’t help but smile. He looked so at peace, which was very welcome. He wasn’t at peace very often so seeing that soft expression on his face was absolutely wonderful.

Laura kissed his temple as he slept. He hiccupped in his sleep and Laura’s heart felt like it was going to burst. Maybe the team was right. Maybe Jesse was more tolerable when he was asleep.
