Stakar chuckled. “That sounds like a long time to a little guy like you, huh? You know, I’ve actually lived more than twice that long. I suppose that is pretty old.” He smiled softly. “No, but I wish I had. I’ll just have to wait until you grow big again, won’t I?”

   “I am Groot!” He wasn’t even a year old, so any number bigger than ‘one’ was a lot! “I am Groot?” How old was Yondu?     Letting go of Stakar finger, the little sapling reached his arms up to be picked up. “I am Groot!” I’ll be big one day!

“I SAID NO.”  

Rocket forced a paw in the sapling’s gorged maw and carefully attempted to force Groot’s mouth open to let the insect escape, while still avoiding to touch it, because bugs were repulsive, dead or alive.

“We got you all that candy!  Why would you want to eat a bug?  Ugh!”

   The little sapling tried to pull his face away from Rocket, his tiny arms trying to tug Rocket’s own out of the way. However during their struggle, and the fact Groot did not kill the bug yet, it managed to escape the raccoon and the tree without either one noticing.

Rocco squeaked softly while holding Groot close. He paused to think for a second. 

“Hm…”  “Okay…”   “What do you want to eat?”

   Eyes lighting up with a plan, he happy declared, “I am Groot!” Candy! Rocco might not know what normal.. tree creatures eat, so making the raccoon think they ate candy should be easy!

Rocco chuckled softly.

“You have a good point.”

He said before leaning forward slightly and gently picking up Groot. The raccoon as strong enough to carry Groot with one hand but he used both just to be safe. It would be pretty bad if he dropped Groot after just five seconds.

   Happily, the little sprout wrapped his arms around the raccoon and cuddled closely. Then once he was all nice and comfy, he peaked up at Rocco. “I am Groot.” I am hungry.

   “I am Groot!” Gamora can always calm the two down!    And with that, the little sapling bounced and tried to get picked up by the other raccoon. In the very least the little one can be a tester child and just be baby-sat.. that would be what he’ll tell Rocket, anyways.

Rocco thought that Groot couldn’t be any cute, but now that he saw him asleep, cuddling up to him, he knew that he was wrong. The raccoon chuckled softly before letting out a small yawn. Being in this position reminded him how tired he was.

   With Groot all cuddled up against Rocco, the raccoon wasn’t going anywhere soon... even though the baby tree would be easy to carry around. However, who would want to do that when you get a chance to sleep? It was perfectly understandable that a tree fell asleep on you.

Peter smiled, looking down at the other, reaching down after he hugged his leg. “I know. You can beat me up, later.” He teased, laughing. “How’ve you been, little buddy?” He asked, looking at Groot as he started scanning the area. It was odd that Rocket and Groot were together. So he wanted to make sure the area was safe before he ended up in a trap. The Guardians weren’t necessarily popular so, he wanted to be better safe than sorry.

   “I.. am Groot,” He lost Rocket.. he was following the raccoon when he was told to stay put, and... well, he lost his friend in the crowd. However, he found Peter! That had to count for something, right?

Bill was in the barrens, sitting on a stump. He had been hiding away from his parents, who were screaming at him for letting his little brother die. He was throwing pebbles in the dam, when he felt a pebble hit.

   “I am Groot!” The little tree replied, bending down to pick up one of the pebbles so he can copy the human in throwing it into the dam. However his aim was still pretty off, and he kind of.. almost hit the boy with his first throw. Perhaps he should stand closer to the water?
