I'm trying to imagine a world where Kaiser wasn't able/didn't attempt to get the gimmick over and i just mentally can't. I can't imaging a world where this Mask V Mask happened under Triple H and TKO's control into the corny forgotten storyline it was supposed to be. It's insane to think that all of this happened from a shitty WWE creative's idea and an unforcible injury to Chad Gable. To take a gimmick from one man and give it to another was a recipe for total disaster, which it kinda was at the beginning. But Kaiser was able to put so much of his heart and soul into separating from the racist stereotypical character that it originally was and being able to make El Grande Americano a celebration of Mexican culture and tradition. In the current world we're in (especially in the US, being under the name who should not be named), it's such a pleasure to see an individual take something negative and turn it into a positive on such a global scale, which sounds ridiculous to me typing this but I full heartedly believe it. And sure, it might not be someone the people of Mexico originally wanted, but he's proven himself to all of us that he has taken the time and energy to learn about the Mexican culture.
