If you’re someone who isn’t used to watching anything outside one company and you want to explore more options but you’re afraid you won’t like it… just do it. If you don’t like a company, try another one. If you don’t like a wrestler, skip them and watch the rest of the show. Sometimes it’s scary because you don’t know if it’s your thing, but there’s nothing wrong with trying. You don’t owe “loyalty” to one company, one wrestler, or one style. The best part of wrestling is that there are so many ways to enjoy it.

Literally the best thing I've done in my journey on enjoying pro wrestling as my own thing is centering my experience on the people in the ring as opposed to what brand is housing them.

I watch WWE because I love Cody and Bayley and Sami and Rhea and Damian and Iyo and many others, not because I'm a brand stan.

I watch AEW because I love Speedball and Toni and The Jet and Stat and Swerve and Thekla and many others, not because I'm a brand stan.

I watch TNA and Progress and New Japan and Stardom and that random promotion I've never heard before because there are people there I love and more to discover, not because I'm a brand stan.

This does not mean you can't have critiques on how things are going or what they're doing because that is also important! At least to me, wrestling became so much more fun when I did my best to focus my energy on supporting performers I resonate with and follow them wherever they went, because it opened my world to the endless possibilities this whole thing could be***

***Obviously do what you want to do or what is best for you because I'll usually never say how someone does something is wrong, but at least for me, this is how I think and I hope it gives a supporting perspective 🩷
