So it’s 2019. A new year means resolutions and while I know some people don’t like the idea of making resolutions I suppose the reason why we like making them so much is because the new year gives us a chance to reset. To attempt to do the things that we got too busy to make time for the year before.
For as long as I can remember, my new years resolution (and birthday wish) was to loose weight. But every year, I didn’t stick with it. I got busy, I fell off the wagon, I didn’t make the time to prioritize my physical or mental health. But, it’s a new year and 2019 feels different. It feels better. I feel like I’ve gotten to a place mentally where I love myself and like myself enough to want to do this for me and for no other reason. And while that’s not to say that I’m in a 100% good place. I’m in a place, where I feel like I am able to allow myself to grow and to make progress
So that’s what this blog is. It’s a place for me to hold myself accountable and to document my journey on being a better version of me (physically and mentally). So expect progress reports. Maybe a rant or two about this or that. So yeah. If this page helps you, I’m glad but even if it doesn’t, I think it’s going to help me. A lot.
