Warnings: Older Man X Younger Woman
You woke up after an incredible night of sleep. You laid in the bed for a few minutes before grabbing your phone and looking at it. Instead of being at 65%, as you had left it, it was at 57%. No big deal, you were sure it was only because it was looking for a signal. You looked at the time, 9:37 AM. You put your phone down and got out of bed, walking to the closet to start looking for a cute outfit. You quickly found a green button-up blouse, a green ruffled mermaid skirt, and some golden ankle boots. You made your way back over to bed and noticed a white headband on the bedside table. You quickly brushed your hair and put on the headband, looking at your outfit from afar in the mirror. You hadn't even noticed there was a knock on your door.
"Ma'am?"
You heard the voice of a man; it sounded like the same guard from yesterday. He slowly opened the door and kept his arms by his side.
"Our Ozness would like to speak to you."
You nodded, checking your phone one last time before making your way over to him.
"The Wizard says it is important. Follow me, please..."
You quickly started to follow him throughout the hallways. The sun shone through the windows, just like it did yesterday. You noticed the guard seemed nervous, so you started to make small talk with him.
"What's your name?"
He was silent for a moment before saying "Sager" in a quiet tone. You smiled and told him yours. He glanced at you for a moment as you both kept walking.
"I was told to memorize your name... It's different."
"Well, I've never heard of anyone called Sager, so I guess were on the same page."
He chuckled, but cut it short as you both stopped at a large door. Sager knocked on it, and it was quiet for a few seconds. You heard the door start to unlock and watched it crack open. You saw Oscar peek his head out and smile once he saw you.
"Ah! ____, so lovely to see you! Come in, please." He let you in, and he turned to look at Sager. "Thank you, Sager. I'll speak to you later."
Sager smiled and started to walk away, the door closing with a thud. The Wizard leaned against the door, letting out a soft sigh of relief. He smiled at you and moved over to your side, wrapping his arm around your shoulder like he did when he had met you.
"Now, _____. I've been wanting to talk to you since our last meeting!"
You nodded as he started to walk into another room. You noticed the bags under his eyes, and you couldn't help but ask him. "Oscar? Are you alright? You look... tired."
His walk slowed, and his smile faltered, but he shrugged.
"Just tired from working on getting you home... speaking of that..." He grabbed both of your hands, looking into your eyes. "It may take longer than I thought to get you home... possibly another week. I've never worked on something this intricate before, honey..."
You felt a frown fall on your face, and you let out a small "oh". He noticed you had stopped walking, and he brought a hand to your chin, making you face him.
"I know you're eager to go home. I get that, I really do, but if I don't take my time working on it, it could malfunction, and you may be stuck here for longer than you think. It's important we get this right."
His slow and reassuring words made you feel something. He started to walk with you again, holding one of your hands. "Come along then! I have something exciting to show you!"
He suddenly pulled you into the same workshop from yesterday, except it was now less organized, and most tables were covered in blueprints and other miscellaneous doodahs.
"You sure seem... busy." You said as he brought you over to a clear table.
"Oh, yes! I have to make sure you get home in one piece, and still have your kind personality attached to your brain."
You giggled at his compliment as he started to look through drawers, muttering to himself. "I know I put it somewhere... Ah! Here it is!"
He pulled a small figurine out, made to look like you. It had just the right shade of your eye color and the slight wave of your hair. He held it out for you to look at.
"Is that supposed to be me?" You asked, and he nodded.
"Yes! It's going to fit perfectly in my Oz Of Tomorrow! Would you like to come see?" He didn't even give you time to reply before he started to pull you over to the Oz of Tomorrow. "I've added a few modifications since the last time you saw it, _____." He placed the small figurine of you right next to his in the mini Emerald City.
"Now I added... Quadling Country, Winkie..."
As he rambled, you saw something in the corner of your eye. There was a curtain behind the Oz of Tomorrow. You eyed it for a moment before Oscar's voice brought you back to reality.
"_____. I asked you a question..."
"Oh! Wha-what was it?"
"I asked if you wanted to see something wonderful...?"
You let out a small "mhm," and he grabbed your hand, pulling you away from the replica of Oz. He brought you to a narrow hallway, guiding you through. You finally got to a door, and he opened it. You noticed how large the room was; it was multiple stories high, along with a roof that could open and close, not to mention all the boxes that were around in different corners that you couldn't quite read, but the real attraction was the large hot air balloon right in the middle of the room. The balloon part was red and white, yet there was a large tear in the top. The basket part was being mended, as it was also a bit broken.
"What happened to it?" You asked, touching the basket rim. He pulled you back to his side and sighed.
"Well, it was the balloon I arrived in, and unfortunately, it ripped after I hit a tree, landing here in Oz. Of course, I was the key to the prophecy, so I learned I had magic, and I am now known as everyone's Wizard of Oz."
Your eyes lit up at the mention of that. You weren't one to believe in any kind of magic, but knowing you were in a completely different place, it made you excited. "What kind of magic?"
He paused for a moment, squeezing your hand and thinking, before he muttered in a serious, yet reassuring tone, "Lots." You both left the room, just as quickly as you had both entered it. You felt the way his hands were starting to sweat and how he speed-walked. You kept up with him as you made your way back into his workshop area. He soon stopped in front of a small grandfather clock. Oscar turned to look at you with a smirk on his face.
"Well, _____. How about you and me do something? I know you're probably tired of me ranting..."
"Not at all... though I can't think of anything to do, considering I don't know much about Oz..."
He let out a small chuckle and grabbed a map off one of the desks near him. He opened it up, and it showed you the entire layout of the Emerald City. He laid the map across a desk and started to point at places, naming them while talking about what they were like when he visited them. You listened to his little rambles about each place. You had a feeling he hadn't had a visitor like you in quite a while.
"What do you wanna do, Oscar?"
He stopped rambling once you spoke, and he had this giddy smile on his face. "Ever played croquet before?" (I lowkey think Oscar plays croquet, and this is NOT just a ploy to reference Heathers, sue me)
At this point, you were positive the Emerald Palace was bigger on the inside than the outside, because where Oscar took you next was prettier than most rooms you had already seen.
"Here we are!"
You let out a small, surprised gasp at this new room. It was as big as a full-sized pool and had fake grass everywhere. There were tall windows everywhere to let sunlight shine in, as well as a small croquet stand with different colors of mallets, along with a few croquet balls in a crate beside the stand. Along the grass were wickets and stakes, probably from the last game he played alone.
"So... how do you play croquet? Is it like golf?" You asked, and he shook his head with a smirk on his face.
"Not at all like golf. In fact, much less complex! Here, I'll show you."
He wrapped his arm around your waist and pulled you over to the stand, gesturing for you to choose a mallet. You chose the mallet with the color blue and grabbed the blue ball out of the crate. He grabbed a green mallet and ball (who would've thought?), and brought you over to one of the wickets.
"Now the way to play croquet is very easy, you just need precision and..." He started to ramble about the directions and rules of the game, along with answering any question you had about it. You both started playing, and it was easier said than done, at least getting the ball into the wicket part of it. You kept being off by a few inches. You tried to keep your frustration to yourself, but Oscar could see right through it. He let out a small laugh and walked over to you.
"Do you need help, honey?"
Those little nicknames, he was damn smooth with them too, hoping you wouldn't notice, or maybe he did. He walked over to your side, wrapping his arms around your waist and grabbing your mallet, his chest rubbing against your back.
"Just line it up with the ball..." He spoke softly into your ear, squeezing your hands and gently guiding you to hit the ball. "...then you hit it..." The mallet hit the ball ever so softly and rolled into the wicket. You could feel him smile against your ear, and he pulled away, letting go of your hands. You could feel a slight redness to your cheeks, but tried to shake it off. You watched as he took his turn and watched him score another point. You played until Oscar got to seven points, as he had now won.
"Well, _____, that was fun, wasn't it? I'm used to playing alone, but it was better to play with someone, instead of by myself..."
You could feel the loneliness in his voice, but he quickly shook it off and took your mallet from you, his hand lingering longer than it should have.
"I'd love to keep playing, sweetheart, but unfortunately, I have to go and do some paperwork and other somewhat important things. I hope you don't mind if I get someone else to spend the rest of the day with you...?"
Although it did make you a little sad you weren't able to spend more time with him, you didn't mind the fact that you were able to spend more time in the palace, possibly even out in the Emerald City. You didn't even realize a guard had come up behind you.
"I guess I'll be seeing you later, _____. It was nice to spend my time with you..."
Oscar had a genuine smile on his face after he said that and waved for the guard to take you out of the room. This guard was older, about 30, maybe 31, and just kept his arms by his side as he escorted you out of the room.
Your mind couldn't help but go back to the way he had his arms wrapped around you, helping you hit the ball. It gave you butterflies, but you just decided to ignore it, after all, you had just met the guy two days prior, you'd go home in a week or two anyway. The guard had brought you back to your room and just kind of... left you there. He didn't say anything else; he just closed the door. You brought yourself over to your bed, lying down on it and feeling the sheets with your hands. You noticed someone had made your bed, probably one of the maids, you thought, mindlessly grabbing your phone and checking the time. It was now 1:13 PM. Time went by faster than you thought it had. You couldn't help what was going on back home in Wisconsin. Were you on missing posters all over town? Was there a reward for your return home safe? You didn't want to worry too much, after all, you'd get home, right? Oscar could clearly get you home; if he were so powerful, he had to have magic. You were brought out of your fears when you heard a knock on your door. You quickly stood up and opened it. There stood Lana, holding a basket with expensive-looking hair-care products and other shower items.
"Hey, _____!" She said, smiling, "Our Ozness asked to take you for a shower. He had a feeling you maybe needed one after not having one for two days..."
You took the basket from her and inspected it. It had lavish green bottles of shampoo, conditioner, bodywashes, and any shower product you could think of.
"I'll show you where the bathing quarters are!"
She took your hand and brought you down the emerald hallway to the bathing quarters. She unlocked the door and held it open for you.
"I've been asked to wait outside the door until you're done... Something about safety."
You nodded and closed the door. You moved towards the shower and turned it on, placing the basket on the closed toilet. You pulled the towel out of the basket and felt it; it was soft and green, along with an embroidered Oz on it. You didn't take any extra time and got into the warm, refreshing shower.
I've lowkey been putting this off, but I have writer's block for another book I'm writing, so I just thought I'd finish this before I get writer's block for this lol

CHAPTER 3!
You stood up, walking to the door and cracking it open, peeking out into the hallway. No one was around, well, other than a guard, but you had a feeling he wouldn't tell anyone. You stepped out of the room and gently closed the door, your heels echoed as you walked down the hall, taking in the gre- emerald hallway, he sure did like this specific shade. You noticed there were two guards in each hallway you walked down. You made your way through a ballroom that had a golden floor, along with a piano in the back. You made your way through another hallway; this time, this one had paintings with Oscar in them. You turned a corner and suddenly bumped into someone. It was a woman, she looked to be 23 to 24, and she was holding some towels. She caught herself before she fell and started to apologize.
"Oh, shoot! I am so sorry! I wasn't looking where I was going and-" She pulled her strawberry blonde hair away from her face and her mouth turned into an "O". "You're the girl the Wizard is going to help! I have to say, I didn't expect him to allow you to stay in a guest bedroom, but he is our Wonderful Wizard, after all!"
You smiled at her words and nodded in response. "Yeah, he said he was going to help me get home." She placed her hand on her hip and held the towels close to her chest.
"Well, I do hope you enjoy your time in the city! The Wizard loves helping the citizens of Oz, even the people not from Oz… say, where exactly are you from…?"
"Wisconsin."
She looked puzzled but shook her head. "Never heard of it… Anyway, I was going to go put these towels away, but you seem like you were wandering around, am I wrong?"
You chuckled nervously, and she waved her hand for you to follow her. "I'll take that as a yes, Miss…?"
"Oh, my name is _!"
You chatted with her as you made your way through the palace, and you found out her name was Lana and she was one of the maids here. She explained that she was going to put some towels away in one of the bathing quarters, and she just happened to bump into you. You told her how you showed up here, which she laughed at.
"You're going to love it here, even if it's for a short time. I will say, though, the Wizard seems to have taken a liking to you… not many get to speak to the Wizard, let alone see him."
You felt your face shift into confusion, and you started to walk more slowly, "Speaking of him, why is he called 'The Great and Powerful Wizard" All I heard while I was out in the town was him being considered good and amazing."
Lana stopped dead in her tracks and looked at you with an excited look on her face.
"Oh! You're going to love this story! They even made a book about him! I'll tell you all about it, just let me put these towels away first, okay?"
You hadn't even noticed you stopped in front of a shower room, which you assumed was where Lana was heading before you met her. You waited outside the said room until you heard a scream. Without thinking, you ran into the bathroom. You saw Lana on a shower chair, holding a now unfolded towel and throwing it around.
"It's a mouse! A dirty little mouse! And in the finest palace in all of Oz! How disgusting!"
"I'm sure it didn't mean any harm! Let me try and find it…"
You looked around the bathroom but couldn't find the mouse. You helped Lana off the chair, and she started to fold the towels again, muttering to herself about how disgusting animals were.
"An animal… what filthy creatures. They should be seen, not even seen, just gone… for good."
You thought her grumble was a little weird, but you shrugged it off, and you helped her fold the towels back. She smiled as a thank you, and you made your way out of the bathroom. You looked out the window in the hallway you both walked in, and you saw a large clock tower, displaying the time.
"Is it 8:30 already?!" You exclaimed a little too loudly, and your voice echoed down the hall. You covered your mouth, and Lana just laughed at your red face. She looked out the window too and nodded.
"Seems like it. Say, I could walk you back to your quarters! Nobody knows the palace floors better than me, other than our Wonderful Wizard, of course."
You agreed, and you made your way throughout the palace with her. This time, you noticed most of the guards were missing. Lana opened your door for you, and you smiled.
"It was nice meeting you, Lana." You said, waving to her.
"It was nice meeting you too, _. I hope we talk again real soon! And hopefully when I'm off one day."
You giggled and watched as the door closed. You moved over to your bed and lay back, staring at the ceiling. From everything you heard today in town, how amazing he was, the more you felt he could get you home. You just needed to have hope.
It was around 12:35, and you were long asleep. The Wizard was awake, working on something, unfortunately, it wasn't something to get you home, it was a mini-figurine of you for the 'Oz Of Tomorrow'.
"Your Ozness?"
Oscar looked up, his eyes having bags under them, he turned his head to look at the guard who had called his name.
"Yes? How can I help you?"
"You wanted me to report back on that girl… the one who's staying in the guest room?"
Oscar smiled and turned his chair around, standing up and grinning at the guard.
"Yes! Of course, please go ahead, tell me all that happened today!"
The guard sighed nervously and kept his hands by his side.
"Well, she was excited to go to all the stores you recommended, and she got many things, and even had her nails done, but…"
The Wizard kept in his grimace, "Go on…"
"Instead of staying in her room after we got back, she roamed around the palace and met Lana."
"Lana… which one is she again?"
"Um, one of the maids."
"I see."
"But other than that, she seems to like it her. She also can't wait for you to get her home…"
Oscar smirked and patted the guard on the shoulder.
"Well, I'll just have to take her around the town myself soon, won't I?"
"Yes, your Ozness."
The guard was waved away, and Oscar sat back down. "Maybe…" He gripped the figurine of you, "Maybe I'll keep her a while longer."
I haven’t written anything about the Wizard for like 3-4 months and I lowkey need to know what to call the series if I finish writing chapter 3 (I’m writing like 12 stories at this point) so if y’all have name suggestions for the story tell me
I love how the Blues Brothers, Nathan Thurm (a character from an SNL sketch with Martin Short), and Egon’s twin brother, Elon, is canon and we skip over it so much 😭
I made this while I listened to the Hazbin season 2 album, made me realize how much Jack is like Vox (in certain ways)
Frosty Flowers
(Enemies to Friends)
You were a legendary figure. Like Jack, you controlled a season; you just happened to control the summertime. Unlike Jack, however, you were kind and genuinely cared about your job as a legendary figure. Unfortunately, it was that time of year when Jack would attempt to distract you from your job during the summertime.
You were in the middle of the woods, sitting on some soft grass and making sure every plant was getting the right amount of sunlight and water, feeding the nearby deer, making sure flowers were blooming correctly, whatever needed to be done so summer would be ready for people. You often became bored in the woods, however. You decided that maybe it would be a great time to create a new flower. You took your time with it, deciding what shade the stem should be, what the shape and size of the petals are, and even the size of the bush it would bloom from. It was almost done.
"What'cha doing, ____?"
You yelped as you felt two cold hands on your shoulders.
"JACK!"
You quickly stood up and faced him, a scowl on your face.
"Damn it, Jack, what do you want? Don't you have a Southern Hemisphere to make cold...?"
He laughed and slid his foot across the grass, creating frost on the tips of the grass. It quickly melted due to the heat of the sun, yet it still pissed you off.
"How you doing, Sunflower? Are you growing plants again? Fun, fun..."
"You didn't answer me."
"I just came to see my favorite legendary council member! The only one I can also relate to..."
You rolled your eyes and pressed your finger against his chest, forcing him to walk backwards and away from you.
"Jack, you need to leave before we get me in trouble with Mother Nature..."
"Woah, relax, Summertime! I just wanted to hang out with you! None of the other members wanna talk with me..."
You couldn't help but feel pity for him, and your hand went back to your side. You stepped away from him and sighed.
"Alright, alright. You can stay. Just don't freeze anything!"
He smiled and wrapped his arm around you.
"Thanks, Sunshine. You won't regret it. So, what do you wanna do first?"
You pushed his hand away from you as you sat back on the ground, looking at Jack once he sat next to you.
"You're gonna sit and be quiet while I-"
You turned to look at the flower and gasped. Jack was holding it in his hand and smiled. Instead of it being a yellow-orange flower, it was now half blue and half orange, along with frosty tips on the stem leaves.
"Very nice. Not your best work, but it is pretty."
"Jack! You're ruining it!"
You quickly grabbed the flower from his hand and watched as it slowly returned to its original color. Jack's eyebrows raised in surprise.
"I didn't even know I could do that..."
"What did you do...?"
"I don't know. I control the winter, I don't know how flowers work."
He messed with his tie and brought his hand over to the flower in your hand.
"I'm not letting you ruin my work, Jack."
You pulled your hand away from him, but not before your fingers brushed against his.
"Come on, let me see it. The flower didn't rot! It just frosted! Just let me see it!"
"You made it blue!"
You were getting fed up with Jack. Why couldn't he just let it go? Suddenly, Jack grabbed your hand and tried to force you to give him the flower.
"Just let me see it, _____!"
"If you touch this flower, I'm gonna melt that hair of yours, Frost!"
You two started playing tug of war with the flower before he smirked and let go. You fell backward, and that made you drop the flower. You both watched as the flower rolled into a bush.
The bush suddenly started to bloom with the flower. It was beautiful, the frosted tips didn't melt, and the color of the petals blended perfectly together. The sun lit up the icy bits of dew on the flower. You made your way over to the new flower bush and sighed, touching the petals with the tips of your fingers. Jack shrugged and pulled a flower off the bush, playing with the petals. You grabbed the flower from his hands and stared at it. You didn't know how to feel. The flower was ruined, or at least in your eyes.
"And you say I have a stealing problem..."
You heard Jack say under his breath as he took the flower back from you. Your eyes went back to the flower bush.
"You know, _____, you're not as pretty when you pout. I mean, you're still pretty, but when you pout--"
"Jack. The flower... We just made a flower that shouldn't exist. I--"
"Relax, Summertime. Why not admire the flower instead? I say it's my best work yet."
You scowled at him and stood up, staring him down as he was still on the ground.
"Best work? Best work?! Mother Nature is gonna have our heads at the next council meeting! I can't believe this... I'm gonna be forced to be a normal person when she permanently removes me from being a season worker! This is horrible!"
You leaned your head against a nearby tree and whimpered before wiping a tear from your eye.
"_____, it really that big of a deal. She won't know if you don't go. Hell, I barely go."
"We know you never go. In fact, you haven't shown up for the last 20 years!"
"Seriously? The 2000s went by fast..."
You groaned and kept your head against the tree. How could this have happened? Everything would have been fine if Jack hadn't touched the flower you worked so hard on! You felt Jack standing beside you and leaning on his elbow.
"Sunshine. If it makes you feel better, I can be sorry. Just this once, though, I'm not Santa or anything... Y'know?"
You pulled your head away from the tree to face him. You moved your hair from your face and frowned.
"You don't sound sorry..."
"Well, I am. Does that sound good?"
He had that smug smirk on his face, and you turned away, crossing your arms and leaning against the tree. You didn't even realize he placed the flower on your ear.
"Does that prove I'm sorry, Sunshine? Hm?"
You couldn't help but hide a smile on your face.
"Maybe... Maybe I'll forgive you. Just this once, though."
You made your way over to the bush and stared at it. Maybe it wasn't such a bad thing that it was part frost.
"Alright, Sunshine, I gotta go and freeze Australia... You have fun with that new flower, okay? Okay."
"Jack."
He stopped in his tracks at the soft tone of your voice. He waited for you to say something.
"I--... Never mind."
He shrugged, and before you knew it, he was gone. You turned your head to look back at the flower bush. Unfortunately, the ice was starting to melt, but you didn't do anything, you just watched it melt and drip onto the grass. It kept the orange and blue blend, but without the frost, it felt incomplete. You shook your head and stood up. You had bigger things to worry about. You made your way deeper into the woods, leaving the flower bush alone.
That time that Chevy Chase threw a suitcase at Harold Ramis and was yelled at by him to the point Chevy was HUMBLED?? Harold caught the suitcase btw but when can he get humbled again like please
CHAPTER 8 FINALLY DONE AFTER 1-2 MONTHS!!! Now I’m gonna take a nap bc I’ve been working on this chapter for 3 weeks 😭 PLEASE ENJOY!
Chapter 8: Ecto-1
Janine didn't have a car, as it was in the shop right now, so she took the next best thing.
"We're taking the Ecto-1?"
Janine nodded at Vicki's words.
"Well, what other choice do we have, Vi?"
Vicki sighed, quickly jumping into the front passenger seat while Janine got into the driver's seat.
"I hope Ray left the keys in the— ah! Here."
Janine put the keys in the ignition and started it, meanwhile, Vicki looked around the car.
"I've never been in here before... Egon never let me because it's 'dangerous' apparently..."
"Well, you can look, but don't touch, alright?"
"Okay."
Janine put the car into reverse and started pulling out onto the road, heading towards her apartment...
Vicki may have felt a little bored, leading her to open the car's compartments.
"What are you even looking for, Vicki...?"
"I dunno... something."
"If you're trying to find something incrementing, don't... the boys are already dealing with enough as it is right now... hopefully the mayor has some common sense."
Vicki sighed at Janine's words. Of course, the mayor would get involved... if they were lucky then maybe he would pick the right option.
As the mayor tried to reason with Peter and the rest of the boys, Egon's mind was focused on Vicki and Janine. If Vicki's mother found out what the hell just went down, who knows what would happen if she couldn't come over anymore? He hated admitting it, but he couldn't bear to see her go, whether he'd let her mother take her was another question to be answered on another day. Finally, after Peter had convinced the mayor to let them stop whatever the hell was gonna happen to Manhattan. Peter laughed as Peck was forced out of the office. The mayor turned to the rest of the boys and sighed.
"We got work to do, what do you need from me?"
Ray immediately jumped up, like something had been nagging at his brain all day.
"The Ecto-1! The car, we left it there! I left the keys inside! Oh my god, someone could have stolen it!"
"Jeez, Ray, calm down..."
Winston muttered before turning to Peter, who had a carefree look on his face.
"I saw Janine and the kid hop in the car, I think she took it because her car was in the shop..."
"So it's at Janine's apartment?"
"Looks like it..."
Egon was oddly quiet, he usually was, but he was extra quiet. More on his mind than usual. Ray turned to look at him, patting his shoulder.
"You alright, Eegs?"
Egon nodded, pushing his glasses up.
"Yes, perfectly content. Let's go get the car..."
The boys were escorted out of the building and quickly made their way down the roads of the city.
Vicki was hiding in the Ecto-1 while Janine was inside her apartment, looking for something. Vicki was sitting in the back seat, her face in a comic book and her knees to her chest, along with her bag by her side. She fiddled with a keychain on her bag while muttering the words to herself. She hadn't even noticed someone had opened the door.
"Haven't you read that one already?"
Peter's voice came through and Vicki yelped, almost falling off the seat.
"Don't scare me like that!"
She grimaced before it finally dawned on her that Dr. Venkman was standing in the passenger side door.
"Dr. Venkman!"
She quickly jumped out of the car and hugged him.
"You're alive! Where's Dr. Spengler?"
"He's a slow walker... give him some time. Anyway... we have to save the town, so we can't chat."
"What?!"
Vicki's jaw dropped, was he serious? Save the town?! That sure as hell was not fair for a multitude of reasons. She was about to argue before she noticed Ray was inspecting the hood of the car while Winston stood beside him.
"Looks good, I guess Janine can drive—shit, that sounded wrong..."
Winston laughed before covering his mouth. Vicki shook her head and turned to look at Peter again.
"That's not fair! I've waited all goddamn day for you four to come back, and you have to leave all over again?! What the hell?!"
Peter gasped sarcastically and put his hand over his mouth.
"Vicki! Such vile words coming from your mouth? You've learned them from Egon, haven't you? I knew he couldn't be trusted near you!"
He spoke sarcastically as he covered her ears. Vicki glared at him. Even Peter knew he himself was the one who cursed the most.
"Screw you, Dr. Venkman..."
She held back the urge to flip him off but held back as Egon had shown up. He was fiddling with a notepad, too busy to look up from it.
"Ray, I need you to go get Janine and Victoria, I feel as if—"
He was cut off by a tight hug from Vicki herself. He stood there for a moment, almost dropping his notes, before adjusting to the hug and patting her back with a smile on his face.
"Hello, Victoria."
"Hi, Dr. Spengler."
He pulled away and she smiled. Egon looked around for a moment.
"Where's Janine?"
"She's inside, doing something..."
"What would that something be?"
"Looking for something, I dunno..."
"What floor is she on?"
"Uh, the third one, first door on the left."
Egon looked at Winston and he groaned before walking into the apartment building to find Janine. Egon had a soft smile on his face but his composure was soon brought back as Vicki spoke again.
"Dr. Venkman said you four were gonna leave again to save the town! I've waited all day to see you guys again and I'm not waiting again! I wanna come with!"
Ray audibly chuckled in the background as he closed the hood of the car.
"Listen, kid," Ray started walking over to her, "None of us wanna feel the wrath of your mother, especially Egon. You can't come with us..."
"Can I ride in the car? Dr. Spengler said I could ride in the car one day, I wanna ride in the car!"
Egon sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose. He knew that would come back to bite him in the ass.
"Please, Dr. Spengler. Please?"
Vicki had these puppy dog eyes, looking at Egon with hope. He thought for a moment, maybe a few, before sighing and letting his hands fall back to his side.
"Fine..."
"Are you serious?!"
A smile grew on Vicki's face as he nodded.
"Yes, Victoria..."
She started to jump up and down before hugging him.
"Oh, I finally get to flip everyone off while I'm in that car!"
"Absolutely not."
Egon immediately shut down that idea and Peter laughed.
"Come on, Eegs, what's wrong with the kid showing people the finger?
Egon and Peter started to quietly argue while Janine and Winston made their way out of the apartment and towards Vicki.
"I see the boys finally showed up..."
Janine said and Vicki nodded while watching the guys.
"It took longer than I thought it would... but the best part is I get to ride in the car with them!"
Janine smiled and patted her back.
"Won't that be fun?"
Ray made his way over to Janine and he held his hand out.
"Janine... my keys?"
"Oh, right..."
She handed him the keys to the Ecto-1 and shrugged. Vicki smiled and quickly hopped back into the car.
“Oooh, I can’t wait to go!”
Ray chuckled and swung the keys around his finger.
“I haven't seen Vicki that excited since I bought her a 12-pack of Pepsi.”
Egon and Peter’s argument ended as quickly as it started and Egon decided to let it go. Peter smirked, having won the argument, and made his way into the front passenger seat of the car.
“I don't wanna intrude, but maybe we should get going before the mayor thinks we flaked out on him and ran out of town!”
Peter yelled out the window. The boys all got in the car, except Janine.
“Aren't you coming with?”
Egon asked, his hand on the car door handle. Janine shook her head.
“I’ll catch up in a little bit, my car is probably ready by now. I’ll be there soon.”
Egon nodded and got in. Ray turned on the car and it sputtered for a minute.
“I forget, the car doesn't like you very much, does it, Ray?”
Ray groaned at Peter’s words and the car started working. All five of them were off and making away to the mayor's office.
you have the chance of being the first person on tumblr (at least I think so) to make a dark helmet x Reader fic (or headcanons) and I will 100% be there for it if it happens bro
I in fact will be the first person to! My level of gooner just was no being met on here or Ao3 so I will be fulfilling it myself 🤍
