I hate how female characters can’t be their own developed characters AND love interests without viewers reducing them to the latter. If Loki and Sylvie did end up sharing an explicitly romantic moment (it’s Disney so that just means a kiss) I’ve already seen multiple takes which go something along the lines of “can’t women characters be something, something and something without reducing them to love interests?” The only people who would be reducing her to a love interest is the people who say that.

Sylvie is an interesting, developed and exciting character in her own right, I could see her with her own TV show or movie in the future if they don’t kill her (now that’s something I could get mad about but more on that later if I have the energy) but some of you act like the second her relationship with Loki possibly becomes undeniably romantic all of that will melt away. It won’t.

Women characters don’t have to be interesting and developed OR love interests, it isn’t a choice between the two, they can be both.

And I only see this stuff with women characters because no one complained that Vision was reduced to a love interest in Wandavision, because when male characters are love interests people don’t decide that suddenly wipes away everything else that makes them an individual character with their own story but put a woman character in a relationship and suddenly that’s all she is, even if it isn’t.
