guys! reblog with the type of synesthesia you have!
idk if this is a form of synesthesia but when i was younger i when i heard the word sunflower i thought of a swingset on a sunny day and when i heard adult it was a pastel colored pearl on a purple pillow with a deep pink background... i dont see it much anymore but when i listen to music/people talking sometimes i try to translate it to drawings and that might be the reason i listen a lot better to lectures when i draw???
that's really interesting! I have to tell you I'm honestly not sure if that would be considered syn or not 🤔 it certainly sounds very pretty!followers? any opinions?
the colors of the signs as I see them with synesthesia
aries: light blue
taurus: golden
gemini: bright green
leo: dark forest green
virgo: silver
libra: light yellow green
scorpio: deep red
sagittarius: light purple
capricorn: pastel yellow
aquarius: seafoam mint
pisces: cobalt blue
ENTANGLED SENSES MEETS MUSICAL EXPLOSIONS
Missouri-based artist Melissa McCracken paints music. She creates her pieces based on how she sees songs—a unique perspective she has due to a sensory phenomenon called synesthesia.

i think i have synesthesia, but I'm not sure? Bc in my head smells -> places or months. theres this guy in my class and his perfume smells like a forest full of birch trees in the month of may and idk why (just realized that sounds creepy af but i sat next to him for three months so u know i noticed it). could this be synesthesia?
haha ya I think it defs could!! don't worry if yours doesn't match other definitions, there's countless different variations of synesthesia 😄
Do you have personality>color synesthesia. Because I want to know if anyone else experiences the problem where you bias people based on their color. Like I love red and black people but grey people I don't like to talk to? Or orange people I hate talking to orange people because their color annoys me???
oh my goshhhhh I do this way too much. I hate that omg.it either happens when I learn a persons name for the first time, or when I get to know their personality. don't worry ur not the only one!!
Do you know anyone with number-personality synesthesia? I have it, but I've never met anyone else who does!
ah I don't! I only have a personality for 4 :((guys reblog this talking about your number-personality syn!
Do you think taste-> texture synesthesia is a thing? Like idk if it's a ~*~normal person~*~ thing or a syn thing. But like for example peanuts n peanut butter are like marble. Is this a thing??
ah that's Lexical-gustatory synesthesia!! it's totally normal, and defs a part of how some people experience synesthesia. there was even an experiment done where a woman experiences exactly what you did! If you're still curious, there's a whole Wikipedia page on it 😄 thanks for the ask!
Do you kno about motion-sound syn? I have it. While it's dif for everyone, I hear lots of little bleeps, bloops, whooshes, clicks, etc. whenever I see something move. I have bad hearing, so I think it helps me pick out which sounds come from where :)
woah!! that sounds very cool! I think I have something similar, where everything moving will create a sound in my mind!!thanks for sharing!
Couple of synnie pick-up lines
I wish I could gif your name
This room was way too mint-flavored till you came in
I just found out I have synesthesia and how do you go about explaining what you see to people without sounding crazy??? People asked what it was like and I told them what the colors of letters were and that some had personalities and gender for me...Like for me I hate the letter C because she's really prissy and stuck up. Also how do I explain the fact that I literally see the months on a chart like thing and that they all have color? Is there a way you've found to do this and not sound crazy?
oh gosh. this is always the worst part of having syn for me tbh.normally, I pick out who I want to tell first. if you tell a crowd of people or more than one person, it gets impossible to answer all their questions. so, pick the person you want to tell, and make sure that you have a long amount of time with them and only them. then honestly you just have to flat out explain it. start by saying the name of what you have, then start elaborating into the different ways you experience it!! obviously some people won't believe it, so if they don't just come online and show blogs like mine and others!!just remember take it slow, and be careful who you chose to tell!! best of luck ❤️❤️❤️❤️
is it a syn thing if numbers have colors and some have personalities and even a physical human form? I'm also wondering about comorbidity between synesthesia and other mental illnesses, I am Schizophrenic and Autistic, wondering if it could be one of those. Hope you don't mind this question! :) Take care!!
ah the first part is definitely syn! sounds like you have number-color and number-personality!! very normal for a person with syn.and for the second part of your question, that's very interesting!! I'm sure there is a link somewhere. if any of my followers have other mental illnesses that they think affect their syn, reblog and explain why!thanks for the questions! 😊
Is it syn if I associate genres of music to days of the week. Like Sunday is country. And Tuesday is pop. And it feels weird to listen to that genre if it doesn't correspond to the day. Like I can't listen to pop on Thursday because Thursday is rap.
that sounds like synesthesia !! I associate weird things with days of the week too,
Reblog this post with a pretty normal phrase for synnies, but pretty weird for non-synnies
what's your favorite color of the alphabet?
hey all!!
I just reached 560 followers and I just wanted to say thank u!! I would have never imagined there were that many of you out there 😮 all of y'all feel free to keep asking questions and talking to me! I love u all ❤️
Is it possible for song types to have colors? I see cold colours (green blue purple) when listening to slow songs and I see warm colours (red orange yellow) with more upbeat songs. I can already see the words and the colour is more of a background to the words. I've had the colour thing for the last few days and the word thing for forever but I don't know if it's synethesia or something temporary. I haven't done anything different in the last few months so idk.
ofc!! that happens for me too ☺️ does anyone else experience this?
