So hello hello one and all to my blog. This exists mostly for me to ramble about my writing at AO3. I dabble mostly in horny reader inserts, but do have a few OC/canon ships I occasionally make mention of, and also enjoy character analysis through introspective one shots and ficlets. I primarily write for DMC, and so tend to reblog pretty much anything to do with the series, be it fic or other media.

Actually the real Voynich manuscript of ffxiv is what the pixies do with Urianger's notes he may have left lying around the Bookman's Shelves. Eventually they do make their way to Moren or perhaps his descendant Librarians. Out of order, all provenance long lost, written by someone familiar with an entirely different understanding of aether and magic desperately writing notes and categorising the First from the eyes of an alien scholar whose perception of the very nature of magic was up is down until halfway through his writing.

Sorry I'm just having weird brain worms because I saw Knight Kyrie art on twt the other day and it's not left my head since, so I'm just word vomiting to get it out of my system.

So first things first: Credo doesn't tecknikuhlee approve of any kind of martial training for Kyrie. He's a hardass and a traditional kind of guy with traditional holy values (SIKE when he's not getting pegged, he dates Vergil in my Credo Lives AUs, I will live and die with this ship sorry not sorry). But real talk, he doesn't like the idea of Kyrie being anywhere near a sword because that means she's closer to danger and therefore closer to the dangers of the truth of the Order, which he Knows About ofc, so the further she is from all that, the better.

But Nero being the rebellious little guy we all know and love teaches her a thing or two behind his back, and Credo sorta knows about it, but he lets it slide because it's Nero, and he knows Nero would never hurt Kyrie and he trusts Nero more than he does any of his other Knights so as long as it's Nero training her, then he'll turn a blind eye because he trusts Nero!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! TRUST!!!!!!!!!!

So yeah I think Kyrie should have a sword. Maybe just a Caliburn that Nero took the engine out of, just while she was still learning basics (because if you fuck up, you can dislocate your shoulder so easily lmao). She would have moved on to the real deal, but then the events of DMC4 happen and things are derailed Forever.

After the dust settles though, she probably doesn't want to hold an Order made sword ever again. 🤔 So that means Nico needs to make something for her. A Caliburn but a little to the left, whatever that might be.

Nero and Kyrie both know that Credo knows about the Secret Training, because Nero normally regurgitates what they learned in Knight School (just go with it) when he trains Kyrie, and one night over dinner, Credo quietly remarks about The Thing he learned today and Nero's like "o ya"

They never directly talk about Kyrie's training, it's just so poorly tiptoed around and just accepted. World's most poorly guarded secret. ✌

Because I can see Credo giving her defensive gear or one of the like... training pieces that helps make a move easier/reinforces a joint for protection. But he can't give it directly. So it just kind of appears somewhere where Nero can take it - Nero may or may not be aware of why or who left the conveniently placed aide, but Nero is taking it for kyrie. Because Credo worries about form. If you are going to learn it in secret against his will, at least learn it correctly.
