so y'know that scene in book two where sandor makes sophie sing for the entire time while he retrieves what the black swan left in havenfield's cave for her? it's described as being a song about how the song itself never ends and how amy annoyed her w/ it when they were younger. pretty sure i found the song she sings. it is aptly named "the song that doesn't end" and is only one verse long that repeats until the singer gets bored, basically.
also i think it's funny that sandor doesn't know the translation of the words. i think it would be even funnier if it got stuck in his head more than once after book two

Okay so I made this oneshot about Sandor and Grizel a while ago and published it on Wattpad so I decided to publish it as well on her because of this post

Grizel began to notice something different about Sandor.
Ever since he became a bodyguard, it seemed like he had a fear of cliffs.
Every time they happened to stand near one, he would back away.
She could even swear she saw him shaking and sweating, frozen in his place and unable to move a muscle.
It's almost like it wasn't the same goblin who usually went right into the danger to protect the others.
He obviously tried to hide it, every time someone else asked him about that, he brushed it off, or lectured them immediately on the spot.
Seeing him like this made her stomach feel like it was about to explode.
So she decided she needed to change that.
"Where are we?" Sandor asked her, his eyes narrowing.
Grizel smirked.
Using her amazing skill of finding wonderful places, she took him to a cliff she had discovered in Gildingham. It wasn't too high, but it wasn't too low either.
The view from the cliff was stunning-you could see every part of Gildingham from there, which was a bonus!
Plus, she had spent five hours placing tons of pillows underneath-she was pretty sure there were around 500 pillows.
Well, safety comes first, even if it is expensive and time-consuming.
She hadn't told him about the pillows, so it would be a surprise.
"Sandor, I want you to be completely honest with me today," she began.
Now that she thought about it, if Sandor didn't have a fear of cliffs, all the pillows would have been for nothing-but at least she had some pillows!
His eyes immediately focused only on her.
He placed a finger on his chin, his eyes filled with curiosity, but his shoulders were guarded.
Maybe she had said it a bit too seriously.
Sandor cleared his throat. "What did you want to talk about?" he asked.
Grizel sighed. "So... I've noticed lately that you've been acting strange around cliffs," she stated.
The moment she said the word "cliffs," he avoided eye contact.
For a few moments, it felt like the wind was the only thing with energy.
Then he sighed.
"I guess I'm not a huge fan of cliffs," Sandor mumbled, looking down.
"I got into something serious back when I was a bodyguard." He confessed.
Grizel nodded. "Yes, so that's why I decided I might be able to help you with that," she said.
Sandor squeaked, crossing his arms over his chest, his back straight. "How?" he asked.
Grizel took a deep breath. "I thought... maybe I could help you face it. And before you say anything, it's your choice-I'm only here to help," she said.
She gently placed her hands on his shoulders.
Grizel guessed Sandor already knew what she was planning, because he walked closer to the cliff, her hands still resting on his shoulders.
He looked down.
"Am I imagining it, or are there tons of pillows down there?" Sandor asked.
Grizel laughed. "Five hundred, actually," she corrected him.
"I wanted to surprise you with this whole thing," she said.
"You think you're ready?" she asked.
Silence surrounded the cliff. Grizel could hear only the birds and the wind.
"Yes," he decided.
Grizel fought the urge to kiss him all over, knowing it wasn't the right time.
"That's good!" Grizel said with a smirk.
But as he looked down at the cliff again, he began shaking.
"You want me to jump with you?" Grizel asked.
"NO!" Sandor almost immediately yelled.
"I should do this alone," he added, a bit calmer than before.
"And you shouldn't hurt yourself because of me," she heard him whisper under his deep breath.
She gave him a small nod, tucking her hair behind her ear.
"Just know that you can do it. I believe in you," she said.
Sandor took a deep breath and looked at the ground again. He squeaked, his muscles trembling even more, sweat forming on his skin.
In any other situation, Grizel would have taken care of him long ago. Watching him like this wasn't easy; it made her mind spin.
He took one more step, his fists clenched.
"You can do it, Sandor! You are stronger than that cliff!" Grizel shouted, her hair flying in the wind.
"I promise it won't hurt!" she added, hoping deep inside it would encourage him.
His eyes fixed on her for a long moment, as if trying to let her words sink in slowly.
Even with all the worry inside, she was sure that even without the pillows, he could survive.
He was a strong man.
You could see that just from the way he stood with his back straight as his eyes squeezed while watching the cliff.
"If it does—I will kill you." He mumbled.
He looked down again, placing a hand over his forehead, as if trying to shut the voices telling him to stop, and before Grizel could blink... he jumped.
Her heart began pounding so fast, and suddenly the thought of something happening to him filled her mind.
"Sandor!" Grizel ran down, every step making a heavy noise on the ground.
Somehow, she managed to get to him faster than she expected.
She saw him lying on the pile of pillows as if he were a prince.
Sandor took deep breaths, laying his hand over his heart and staring at the sky.
"Sweetheart..." Grizel whispered.
He slowly turned his head toward her, his eyes tracking her carefully.
"How are you feeling?" she asked as she approached.
Grizel gently ran her hand over his cheek.
Sandor shrugged. "I guess... I wasn't so bad," he admitted.
Grizel couldn't help but smirk.
She then decided to lie down and roll over next to him on the pillows.
"Still scared?" Grizel teased.
She felt him take a breath.
"Not really," he replied.
Grizel reached out, intertwining her fingers with his, feeling their warm touch.
Words couldn't explain how fast her heart was beating.
The happiness inside her filled her entire body.
"So that means my plan succeeded!" Grizel said.
Sandor didn't answer, but the smile on his face said more than words ever could.
They looked at each other with big smiles, enjoying the moment.
so yes, if I found out my older sibling, who I've always used as a model and have tried to impress and resemble my whole life, hated me all along, I would have murderous thoughts
