After a few exchange of persistent and curious words by her mother, she was able to cut short by closing the front door behind her. The quick silence that muffled the ramble of her mother inside, was comforting. With the cool still air caressing her skin and the shelter of the sun under her porch- Ava was able to spot the car in the driveway just moment after a relaxing sigh. She smiled warmly by the sight and clutched the strap of her purse as she took a step of her porch. It was a relief to see his silhouette perch up in the vehicle. Ava walked forward, feeling the eyes watch out of the parted curtain behind her. Without any hesitation, she opened the passenger door to the truck and hopped in.
"Hey Icarus." She smiled sweetly as she turned to meet his gaze.
"Hey! You look really nice..~" He returned the smile, his was soft - dainty almost. Just as he was about to pull out of the driveway, he caught the eyes of her presumed mother glowering at him like most mothers do with unfamiliar boys with their kids. He gave her a light wave, trying to seem nice and not too awkward.. He sighed as the car left the driveway, starting on a moderately long drive.
"I probably should've gone in and met them first, huh Ava?" He gave a tiny laugh, glancing over to the girl for a moment before focusing on the road again.
