" Do you have time to go shopping or something? I need a good distraction and a good friend. "

"Oh, do you now?" Lila replied lightly, quirking her scarred eyebrow. She could guess what it was that had Nabs in a particularly tense mood. "Well, I'm always down for some shopping. And if you need a shoulder to cry on or vent on, you know these shoulders are pretty well built too."

‘W’ednesday Asks!

"Not in an epic way, if that's what you're hoping for," Lila remarked dryly, taking a drag of her cigarette as she recalled the encounter. "Was fresh out of the army base, drinking away to dull my nerves about what happened, when some asshole comes up to me and starts overstepping my boundaries. Can't even remember what he said, but I got so pissed I punched his lights out." She remembered her own shock when the man went flying. She was strong as a human, sure, but the upgrades had pushed her past the peak of human strength that she nearly put a hole in his face.

"Got kicked out afterwards, and buddy boy ended up stalking me to get revenge. He smashed a beer bottle over my face, and a really jagged edge cut deep into my skin -- thought the fucker had taken out my eye for a moment since all I was seeing was red, and..." In her rage, she struck him again, and this time, it had been fatal. Luckily, Nix and his gang had been tailing the man in turn for assassination, and that in turn allowed her to get in with them and make a living for a while while she hid from the RRA. "So yeah, a drunken fight basically. Not the most glamorous story, but it at least helped me realize something was up with the boost in strength and durable eyes."
