I think it's funny that antis say endogenics and pro-endogenics are like antivaxxers, when we're the ones with research backing us up and there's none for antis. Not a single thing.

Most often we see the "science" behind antis being: "It just doesn't make sense for brains to split and have dissociative barriers for no reason", and this is a flawed argument. Endogenics aren't typically caused by splitting or what's usually meant by splitting (for endogenics it's usually additions, not divisions), usually don't have any major dissociative barriers between headmates, and endogenic doesn't mean "for no reason at all".

Yes, CDDs involve trauma and structural dissociation. The theory of structural dissociation of the personality says absolutely nothing about nontraumagenic types of nonpathological dissociation or headmates caused by things other than trauma.

Every other thing brains do as a result of trauma, they can do for other reasons. Nightmares, anxiety attacks, phobias, various kinds of flashbacks, intrusive thoughts, exaggerated startle effect, avoidance, emotional outbursts, etc. Why is the experience of being many individuals in one brain exempt from this rule?
