Blog is made for, you guessed it, system hottakes. So hottakes for/based around DID/OSDD or the DID/OSDD community! It is unlikely we'll answer any hottakes unrelated to that. Similarly; we'll most likely only post things we at least partially agree with unless we have a specific comment to make about a certain take. Our opinions do change though, of course, so don't assume we still think the same shit we posted like, a year ago, unless we've confirmed recently we still agree with that.

Hot take; armchair diagnosing someone with a CDD based off of very little information (like I see a lot on tiktok) is just as dangerous, harmful and bad as fakeclaiming someone based off of very little information.

Hot take friendo Folks who say that if your animals can act differently if you switch means "you aren't valid" then they don't know what they're talking about. We've got two cats, they can tell when we do mostly because we do (when alone) act differently and they can tell and act it

I'm sure pet's can sometimes tell when their owner switches, likely based off behaviour or perhaps the tone of voice or something like that. I don't see why that would be a fakeclaimable thing.

Also, yeah! Privacy and safety above all, lie if you need to. You don't owe anyone any information about your system, especially not strangers or people who make you uncomfortable!

hot take i haven't seen ! it's okay to forget alters, mistake them for another, or even believe they're new!! it's also okay for an alter to completely change their identity if they feel like they need to. systems are bound to change and if an alter does a 180, support them instead of tearing the system apart for "faking".

Nod, a huge part of DID/OSDD is the amnesia. Said amnesia can include forgetting alters unfortunately, and as you sort of said, mistakes happen all the time. Making mistakes does not make you a faker! Alters can and most likely will change over time, thats something more people need to learn and accept in our own opinions! (including us! Even we struggle to accept when some of our own alters change over time, it feels weird, but its natural)

probably not really a hot take, but endos are dumb as shit. they claim to be a system without having trauma?? like if you do a bit of research into dissociative systems, you'd see that the cause of did, ossd, and all of that shit is because of childhood trauma. then theres endos who claim they have no trauma at all, and are a system all of a sudden because why not.

also, people who are traumagenic and support endos are more stupid. you have trauma, a valid reason as to why you are a system. and you decide to support people who have no trauma and claim to be a system???

NOD NOD. Endos are some of the stupidest people on earth, it's genuinely very surprising just how dumb they can be... Like.. "Oh, you have like, 20 different sources saying DID is caused by trauma and that the fantasy model doesn't exist/work? Well I have a CARRD. Take that, ableist!" <- average endo/pro endo.

And I agree, traumagenic pro endos are.. Disappointing. especially when they then expect to be allowed in anti endo spaces anyways because "I'm traumagenic! so you have to ignore my acceptance and encouragement of ableism!!"

just because someone switches differently from someone else doesnt mean their a fake system. people switch differently from others and just because someone does it different from you isn't a good excuse to fakeclaim them.

YEAH! Every system is different, switching differently than others do does not make you a faker and people who say so are idiots. System are so diverse and so different, people who expect us to all be the same or to follow some kind of rigid checklist of traits that are immutable are just stupid. Fakeclaiming people just because they act or experience symptoms differently is weird!

Hot take that shouldn't be a hot take - Instead of being ableist, "endogenic systems" should just join roleplay servers and use shit like Tupperbox to roleplay in there. Tupperbox was made for roleplay, so how about use it for that? Instead of being ableist fucks towards people with trauma, you should instead get into roleplaying.

Apparently this is a hot take considering the amount of syscords that disagree with what I'm about to say-

Banning certain alters from being able to speak in certain spaces- especially spaces catered toward systems- is harmful. You are essentially telling those alters that they should not have a community, and they will in turn internalize that, and it will only make their situation worse.

I speak from experience when I say that alters barred from outside communication when they want it will only end up getting worse in their behavior, attitude, etc. Not only does it hurt them, but it hurts the rest of the system as well.

MHM! That's what i've been saying. It's harmful, for both the alters you're banning and the systems, but also, it's just fucking rude.

Not all systems are the same, forcing a "one size fits all" type thing is just horrible. You're spreading a message that any system who is different to yours is "wrong" and that they should either change or hide themselves.

Like when people force littles into a "little space", it makes the assumption all littles must be innocent little children who need to be coddled, and ignores all littles who may be mature or just not need the coddling. I'm not saying having a little space is wrong, it's alright to have one, but it should be a choice. You should let the system decide whether or not their littles need to go there or not.

I'll stop my ranting here, before this post becomes an essay, but.. Still.

i honestly don't know if this is a hot hate, but, general thoughts i guess.

it's okay if a system doesn't want to say who's fronting. maybe they're uncomfortable, he'll, maybe they don't even know themselves— that's okay. they shouldn't be pushed to keep everyone informed at all times. and if you don't want to tell certain people about certain things that's okay too!!! whatever makes you the most comfortable, man.

also, it's okay to use we/i interchangeably. that's cool and nice :) we do it a lot. imo of course.

People are too scared to talk about the gross or problematic side of systems BESIDED the stupid problematic introject source bullshit

ALL alters can be absolutely awful given their purpose

The alters who struggle with holding harmful paras and are trying to improve for the system or aren't and the system is actively trying to get a grasp on them to help

Alters who genuinely are awful to the system and do things that put them in so much danger that they have to get other people to help control or redirect them

I understand yes you can absolutely just happy post to show you can be happy and suffer from a disorder! That is okay! Cope as you need!

But I kinda feel like we need balance- all it does is leave people worried that they're awful for something that is not their fault

They see all the happy and talk that hey we have stuff going on but choose to be positive

Give them something to grab onto man bc they're just gonna bottle it up and hide since they are "supposed to focus on the good"

Alters can have disgusting views and interests and its okay to talk about it

Yes, I do think we should talk more about alters who are perhaps "problematic" or less easily understood by the general community. Especially those who hold differing opinions or such. There is a huge push for alters to be palatable and "non-problematic" in some spaces (E.G; servers banning "problematic" sources, trying to restrict "persecutors" or littles, ect) and I think that's kind of fucked. We all know DID is a trauma disorder, yet for some reason people seem surprised when its not all sunshine and rainbows. Yes, systems should take accountability for the actions of alters if they hurt people, however accountability doesn't mean they have to hide those alters completely and treat them like they don't exist, yk?

Sorry, no idea if that makes sense, I'm so tired rn, but yes I agree.

hot take: it’s okay to be content with your system existing as it is and not want to ‘get rid of’ alters via final fusion/just fusion in general

context is we’re a traumagenic system that views our alters as a family/group of close friends—even though we came from trauma, we enjoy sharing our life with each other now outside of the traumatic situation

Nodnod! Recovery is different for everyone, each system has their own final goal, and it should be respected no matter what, yk? If someone wants final fusion, great! If they want functional multiplicity, great! Literally do whatever makes you happy and whatever you think would help you and your system out the most!

Okay, I have made a Plan.

The channel is going to be made, my first video will be an educational one on dissociative disorders in general or on CDDs (I believe, I'm still working everything out so if I post a different video first then, shrug.), I'm not quite sure how I'm going to format everything yet, so I imagine this will take a while to make... I may change it around if it takes too long, and instead have the video be something else...

Other than that, plans for other videos include; answering asks (specifically questions, opinions, ect. I will not be answering vents in videos for my own comfort as well as out of respect, since I think it's a little disrespectful to make content out of someone in distress. You are free to opt-out of videos by simply saying you don't want your ask included, if you don't its sort of free game, however as mentioned I will avoid vents, the most I'll do in that category is perhaps rants, but only ones I can commentate on), other educational stuff, maybe some stuff on hate asks or blog updates if I feel like it? And hot-takes videos

The hot-takes stuff is one of my favourite ideas low-key, though I’m not fully sure how I'll go about it yet. I'm thinking some kind of weekly (probably not weekly, maybe every two weeks instead tbh) thing where I go over my favourite hot-takes I've gotten, or just ones I can commentate on more than I already have in the post (Because, yeah, I'll still post the ones I make videos on, because I'd feel bad forcing y'all to go to YouTube if you don't wanna, yk? The YouTube will probably have more in-depth talkings on it though, since I don't have to condense my opinion into just one Tumblr post, lol)

Apart from that I'm not too sure. I may also do streaming in the future, when I get a new laptop most-likely, but those will probably just be like, chatting things idk. I don't imagine I'd do anything very specific on streams if I did them-
