You stay awake longer than you were planning to make sure your shitfaced sibling doesn't hurt themselves. Having done that, 24 hours after you woke up, you now try and wash your hair before bed because it's gross and pissing you off. 5 minutes in, probably like a sixth of the way through this process (you have thick curly hair), the hot water runs out. You now have the option to either

A): Spend a torturous 30 minutes under icy water trying to condition your nightmare tangle of hair right next to an unclosable window on a winter morning, or

B): Give up and go to bed with your hair half-washed.

Naturally, you pick option

C): I fucking hate everything and everyone every single person needs their skull caved in right the fuck now I am going to stand under this showerhead without running the water for 90 minutes as some inexplicable act of defiance I hate compromise I hate things that are halfway done when things don't go as planned I feel I need trepanned All-Consuming Childlike Fury let's try not to scream and piss off my father I don't need another edition of who the fuck do you think you are you ungrateful child right now this whole situation is just like being 9(10, 11, 12, 13...) again killkillkillkill SuperMurderBloodbath1000000000

But it's okay, you eventually manage to calm down and go to bed. You sleep for 18 hours and wake up in the middle of the night, with a near immobile neck from all the standing in the cold you did. Also you've totally tanked your sleep schedule for the 250th day in a row if you didn't notice. And did you know you're still sick, 10 months later? At this stage it may well last for years. Isn't that fun?
