Omg please tell us more about your fast if youâre comfortable! Iâve always been interested and have dabbled with 16/8 fast cycles naturally but Iâve been wanting to do a longer one. The benefits seem insane
Tw for eating, food talk, âdietingâ (fasting is not a diet though)
A couple of you have asked about fasting and Iâm so happy to see the excitement Lol! I am a huge advocate of fasting but ofc I think everyone should do their personal research and make sure there are no underlying health issues that might cause any complications (in terms of longer fasts; 16/8 is completely fine). Itâs changed my LIFE, my entire perspective on food and consumption. I have never ate whole foods in the past purely for the joy of filling my body with nutrients, immunity, or energy. Healthy food for me was always deeply intertwined with aesthetic and I mostly utilized health food as a tool that would make me look a certain way, rather than feel and be a certain way: âhealthy.â Lynne McTaggart wrote a book called The Field which talks about the health of the body as non-compartmentalized. We have this bad habit in modern times of breaking our body up into parts but the truth is itâs a complete system, everything is communicating with each other. Emotions, thoughts included. The author I just mentioned described the body as a field of âfrequency of resonanceâ, which is my favourite thing, and this is supported by an experiment by Dr. Fitz-Albert Popp in which he studied the biophotons emitted by the human body in a pitch black room. He found that health could be measured by the light emission from a body; this is relevant because of the studies done of the vibrational quality of foods. (THIS IS ALSO RELEVANT BC WE NEED TO BURN DOWN THE 5G TOWERS!!) A healthy person usually has a vibration of 62 to 68 Hertz. When you eat, you want to be eating foods that donât mess with your vibration. Literally. Because my body was once so full of overly processed  food I couldnât actually intuitively sense how food was affecting my mood, energy or disposition. It was too normalized for me. Itâs only when I stepped back and began fasting that I could feel how food made me FEEL: this is the key to intuitive eating. Feeling how food affects you
BUT I want to add a disclaimer: I think a lot of people who are coming from pasts of disordered eating and restriction should not rush into fasting if the passion isnât there to unlearn and distance from the restrictive mind. Emotion is a frequency as well, and itâs my belief that a militant, negative, self-destructive mindset produces STRESS and incoherent waves in the body that might just completely take away all of the benefits that you would experience normally from a fast. Autophagy is induced by longer term fasting, a Greek word âautoâ (meaning self) and âphagyâ (meaning eating). Your bodyâs healing system begins to clear out cells and begin a cellular renewal process and fights against the effects of stress. Fasting brightens your mood, boosts cognitive performance, helps w weight loss, can reduce tumors and reverse PCOS...Iâm just such a fan. If you Google thereâs much more but Iâm typing off the top of my head
You can do it for physiological benefits and spiritual benefits as well
âChristianity, Judaism, Gnosticism, Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism, South and North American Indian traditions--all utilize fasting in one form or another, whether for purification, spiritual vision, penance, mourning or sacrifice. Many faiths prescribe regular fasting to prevent or break the habits of gluttonyâ
I started as well with 16/8 :) I would do 3-day fasts here and there whenever I felt like my emotional body needed a little redirection/cleanse. For me whatâs amazing about fasting is that it takes me out of the habitual, robotic cycles I can sometimes get stuck in. I had practice doing 5-day fasts but 7-day fast is my longest one yet! I love it! Genuinely Iâll incorporate fasting into my lifestyle from now til forever
Hope this helps!!!

Today I learned: #2
Today Iearned, most successful people intuitively know this already but âlife is a seductionâ, we need to seduce the world and the people in it to get the things we want.
What is a seduction? A seduction is when you meet someone disinterested or mildly interested in you, and you CONVERT that interest into rabid desire. This can apply to romantic seductions, but also friendships and work relationships.
Tip #1 In a social experiment, a number of people went on a date with a student.
The student was firstly told to agree with everything the date said. Afterwards the dates ranked the student as moderately attractive.
Then the student was told to disagree with everything the date said- the dates obviously ranked the student as unattractive.
Lastly, the student was told to disagree with everything the date said for the first half and agree with everything said for the second half. The dates ranked the student most attractive in this condition.
Why? The datesâ experience of the student was that they were rather difficult the first half of the date, but then they âwarmedâ up to them, making them think they made an IMPACT on the student.
Tip #2 Relationships can be divided into a model of 3 key phases: attention- initial spark, interest- focus on short-term charms, and maintenance- long term commitment and patience. Importantly, if your relationship is going to last you have to cycle back through these phases of attention, interest and maintenance, and repeatedly seduce.
Tip #3 Casanova went to a bar and saw a beautiful actress, and immediately fell in love with her. However, the actress had a speech impediment, a lisp, which made it difficult for her to say any words with the letter ârâ. Casanova went back home and wrote a play for her with no words with the letter ârâ in it, and successfully wins her over. The reason why his manoeuvre is not only successful but also sexy is:
-it bolsters the actresses apparent âweaknessâ into a strength
-Casanova shows that he accepts her flaw 100%, without asking her to change or offering help to change it, which is something we subconsciously often do, and is not seductive
-it is specific to the actress
-and most importantly! Casanova filled the unmet need (the unmet need being plays without the letter ârâ in them)
Seduction is a 2-part attack: finding the unmet need and then filling it.
