Adi Shankar (the showrunner) is extremely wealthy so he basically funds his own stuff and is the boss. His work will remain shit for that reason.

As for the whole "24 episodes get split into three parts" is something Netflix has always done with their animated stuff outside of this. Pretty sure it has something to do with fraud but can't be certain.

Netflix dmc gets "greenlit" because all of it was made in 2024 and they're just releasing it annually. 🤣

Yes! And the issue here is that they always greenlight stuff for annual release that are not really great? While also cancelling a bunch of shows that have much better potential at succeeding... Or atleast have some quality to them...

I just don't understand how all of this is happening, like how hard is it to find a better writer and director? Or like actually design stuff based on the source material? I'm just really sad and disappointed in it all, because the animation is great, but there's not a single gothic cathedral in all of this? Based on a game series that is famous for its gothic vibe? Like c'mon...

And like okay, the vibes are not there, but neither are the characters? The writers misunderstanding the characters to such criminal levels is crazy to me, but I'm not gonna go into that right now :')
