Help, Not Just Anybody
“Hey, yea yea—it’s fine, I’ve got more days. So where are you? I can come pick you up.” Once Leo found out where Tyler was, she started packing her things up, holding the phone between her ear and her shoulder. “I’m at the beach give me a few mintues.” She hung up and shoved the last of her things in her bag, shrugging her cover-up onto her shoulders.
She couldn’t help but chuckle, Tyler had seen her naked, what was seeing her in a bikini to that? Shaking her head and hoisting her bag onto her shoulder, Leo made the journey to her car, hot sand seeping into her sandals making her speed-walk. Once she reached the Lexus, she threw her bag in the back and started it up, heading to pick up her lover. In all their weeks seeing each other, they’d never had a normal interaction so she was curious as to how it would go.
Eventually, Leo found Tyler parked on the side of the road and slowed, pulling over behind the broken down car and cutting the engine of her own. Stepping out, she shielded her eyes from the sun and gave a small wave with her free hand. “Hello..how long have you been out here, hmm?” Leo made her way over and leaned against the car, smirking.
Tyler explained her location the best she could before hanging up and leaning against the side of her car. Her dad had warned her about investing in such an old car, but she couldn’t help herself. It was a vintage powder blue mustang convertible. A friend of hers worked with cars and was gonna put a new engine in it, restore it to it’s former glory, but that hadn’t quite happened yet. That’s why she was now stranded.
It didn’t take long for her professor to get there, but by the time she had, Tyler was resting her head back against the headrest with her eyes closed. She jumped a little hearing her professors voice. “I--uh...I’m not sure, honestly. Not long.” She ran her hands over her face, pushing her hair back. “Sorry, I’m just exhausted and then-- Well, this happened.” She sighed, tucking strands of hair behind her ear.
“Thanks for coming to get me. I didn’t mean to fuck up your break. I didn’t have anyone else to call.” She explained, for the second time. When her professor moved from the door, she got out and dusted her hands off on her jean shorts. She was in her usual work uniform, but her professor was a bit under dressed and that made her smirk. “I’m glad I caught you leaving the beach and not just sitting at home.
