when ronan is broken about finding out he's the only real person in a little world of toys he dreamt to play with, he can hold on to the fact adam is real, a truly distinct human being, not related, not cloned, not fake, not invented by him. or is he? in the end adam penitently admits to his habit of manipulating and making up fake personalities and mimicking other people to blend in. sick! but he adds that he stores his genuine self in ronan. as if another self - the real one is in you though, I'm a mirror. maybe ronan didn't make him, but adam still made himself in his image. compulsive individualist former army of one adam parrish did all that out of his own volition. (congratulations, the amount of therapy you need is not even quantifiable in years anymore. find peace in the fact you probably could've never had a regular chill relationship. the biblical parallel was hidden there all along like a pit trap) and finally when they have the chance to, maybe, idk, stop being conjoined, separate, adam considers it for a total of 1 day then quickly changes his mind and they... checks notes... literally fuse their souls into one????? oh it's over they are never ever ever breaking the chain
