Lapis made some bad decisions, but no I don’t think shes a monster haha
I just kinda was interested in how Lapis felt so much regret and turmoil about what she’d done to Jasper simply because she finally had some semblance of choice in her life again. She chose to be brutal and awful and let her anger out in the fusion. Lapis realized that and wants no part in being malachite again, she doesn’t want to be what she was with Jasper.
First off, this reblog is mostly directed at the anon.
Lapis imprisoned Jasper against her will in a horrible fusion trapped at the bottom of the ocean and yet Jasper, and ONLY Jasper end up being the abuser?
Jasper definitely showed the symptoms of an abuser with the "I've changed" spiel and all, but Lapis was certainly horrible to her too. And she *liked* it.
“I liked taking everything out on you.” -Lapis
Lapis isn’t some blameless victim, that abuse went both ways. She doesn’t even mention how Jasper did bad things to her! The whole episode frames Jasper as the abuser, but from the dialog alone it sounds like Jasper was the one taking the abuse, not the other way around. Lapis only realized something Jasper hasn’t yet: they are horrible for each other.
“I miss her.” -Lapis
Jasper misses her too, but she doesn’t realize how unhealthy that relationship is. She’s fixated on the power, or maybe simply how different it feels (which is a big deal for gems as we learned in Babysitter Greg), maybe a bit of both?
Lapis sees how Malachite brings the worst out of her, how she hurt Jasper and she doesn’t want to repeat that experience, but that doesn’t excuse her behavior. She did terrible things. Lapis was the one who kept them fused, Lapis was the one lashing out on Jasper, Lapis was definitely an abuser.
I’m pretty sure the “monster” part in @nicky1311′s post was to reflect Jasper’s line. “But you... you’re a monster!” *Dramatic thunderbolt*
Regardless, does that make Lapis a monster? Maybe? That a personal values judgement right there, but the show doesn’t seem to think it makes her one. People do wrongs things, it’s up to you to decide how to see it, whether or not you can forgive someone for their wrongdoings.
Since all gems are female, and unless gems on Homeworld have little to no interest in romance (Pearl/Rose/Ruby/Sapphire would indicate otherwise) then the vast majority of gems are gay. So unless proven otherwise, it is safe to assume any gem is gay.
I mean, Lapis lived for what, thousands of years? Staying single all that time? I get that Homeworld culture can be different but gems are people, they have feelings too and there weren’t many men to crush on back on Homeworld.
Stricly speaking, we don’t KNOW if Lapis is gay or not, but why the hell wouldn’t you think so?
Fic based on The Gembeast’s Temple comic (check it out before reading this) featuring Tiddygem’s Jaspearl fusion, Agate. The fic ends abruptly and I told myself I would add something to it, but it has been months and it’s still sitting in my folders so here. Better late than never right?
Speaking of late, this was before some substantial character development so Pearl’s characterization might be... outdated.
Jasper looked at her hands in the aftermath of the battle. She did it. She did it with her own hands, hands who failed her but they were not the same, she pulled trough with those but they were not her hands. Why, she thought. What did these hands had that she did not. She already knew the answer. She knew it too well, but it made even less sense because of it.
Agate. Agate's hands, Agate's strength, Agate's speed but not Jasper's. Not only Jasper's, which meant the Pearl had something to do with it. Too much. Jasper's fighting power should have been virtually the same considering she had fused with a pearl, a defective one on top of it. Flimsy. Weak. Agate proved to be anything but. The fight was lost, yet once fused they turned the tides in an instant. It felt wrong, grotesque beyond reason. A warrior who depended on others was worthless; war showed no mercy. Fusion was a mistake. A liability. It granted power but at what cost? You would lose yourself in the process. Your thoughts, your actions, they weren't only yours anymore, fusion surrendered your very will to another being. Try to keep exclusive control and... let's just say the lesson had been a harsh one. The whole affair left a bitter taste in her mouth and to top it all off the Pearl had enjoyed it. She knew, she had felt it, she could hear from the way the Pearl breathed at this very moment. Jasper's teeth began their slow grinding. Worse: Agate enjoyed it.
She didn't want this to happen, she had sworn to never fuse again. The situation had forced her to reconsider however, imminent death has a way of restructuring priorities. A shattered gem wouldn't fulfill the task at hand so she broke her oath for the mission's sake. The idea disgusted her nearly as much as her dance partner did. A weak fighter at best, filled with doubts and fear whose only redeemable quality was her obedience. All in all a frail, shivering thing too meek to even propose fusion by herself when every aspect of her being yearned for it. During their dance, Jasper had sensed her fingers cling to her arms, hands, back and any strand of stray hair she could reach with every step and swirl. Thereafter everything changed. For a moment she had felt swift and agile, every move orchestrated with unerring efficiency. Aspects that felt oddly familiar, so did the sheer resolve governing her every move. Determination was no stranger to Jasper, an old friend, only this time impelled by queer motives. The mission drove Agate, sure, yet such matter were overwhelmed by concern for Steven's sa– no, the Rose Quartz gemling's safety. The emotion lingered still.
“That was... amazing,” the Pearl said.
Jasper's eyes switched their focus to the world beyond her clenched fists. There, a slender figure looked up at her. Long delicate legs, a narrow chest atop a thin waist, elongated fingers and a neck you could snap with one hand. The more she looked, the less of a fighter she saw. Nevertheless, the eyes brimmed with an enthralling intensity. From that gaze, a tidal wave of Agate's memories crashed down over her thoughts: the power and grace and fervor and fury and zeal and might and–
“I never imagined we'd feel so confident, so powerful.”
And so light. How is it possible to be so light, yet not fragile at all. The same contradiction existed in her movements; she let her instincts guide her yet achieved absolute precision. Every motion flowed from the last and grew into the next, a cascade of movements flourishing into a dance as graceful as a feather waltzing in the wind. A maelstrom of death.
“Is that... is that how you feel every day?”
No. Never, not like this. Agate's fire was impossible to match without consuming oneself completely. She was a wild flame, exultant and powerful, the heart of a burning star. In comparison, Jasper felt tepid, heavy, sluggish even.
With a hint of concern, the Pearl called out to the other gem.
“Jasper?”
So strange. So delicate, yet ruthless, relentless.
“You... you're kind of like air.”
“Ah...”
The Pearl, averted her eyes almost immediately. She was back to her old self, the same slouching and submissive pose. It was infuriating.

A/N: Special thanks to Bryman for helping me polish this piece of junk. I like to flatter myself and think that with a little more time I could have made some parts shinier, but this is the last day of JaspisBomb so here goes nothing.
What a fucking day. First, the nerd pushes all her share of the work on me because she can't do shit by herself, then I also have to deal with the G-squad. I swear to god she was this close to receiving a headbutt trough her fucking smile. I would have split those teeth wide open... teeth...
“Hnnnrg...”
“Too hard?” Lapis asks, her lips moving on my neck with every word. It's soothing, just like her hand coursing through my mane. Simply calling it 'hair' at this point is a euphemism, just like saying I messed up a little today is a euphemism. There's no way around it: it was an absolute fuck-up. I'm still thinking about it, so I clearly need more.
“Fuck no. Harder,” is my reply.
She doesn't indulge me right away though. She never does. She hums for a moment, an air as soft as her voice, leaving a trail of kisses along my jawline. The trail curves downward until it reaches my shoulder. I feel her tongue outlining the marks of a minute ago, the tip of hers fingers gliding around the discolored spots of skin on my back and all at once her teeth and nails sink right back into my flesh. She's in a generous mood today.
“Fuuuuu—” I begin, the rest lost in a silent exhale. It hurts so good. Just as the jolt of pain dissipates, I hear myself mutter “Harder.”
“You're in a feisty mood tonight,” she purrs, looking up at me. “Too bad I don't feel like it right now.”
That's a lie. A flat out lie. A lie as obvious as her fucking grin and she's aware of it too. The brat knows that I can't read her for shit except when she wants me to. She wants to play, wants to hear me beg and I certainly can't simply make her do what I want, not with my hands tied to my ankles behind my back. I'm just a big useless pile of flesh, sitting on a mattress too hard and creaky to sleep on. It does the job for what we're doing though. Since she's straddling my leg I could probably topple her by squirming somehow, but that wouldn't help me much.
“Go to hell Lapis, you want this as much as I do.”
That certainly won't help much either, but with her perky tits brushing against my own breasts, my mind is going blank.
“Tsk tsk, such a foul mouth. That is no way to ask for a favor now, is it?”
I could capitulate to her, act like the good little pet she wants me to be. I would receive all the little treats, get all the biting I want. That's taking the easy way out, though, and I'm not one to go down that road. I may be tied up, but I'm still the one in charge here.
“Fuck you. I said harder.”
For a moment, I see hear eyes gleaming like mirrors and my reflection in it, looking back at myself with a savage smile. Lapis tries to look angry, and succeeds to a certain extent, but she cannot completely conceal the impish grin beneath it. Alright not really, she genuinely looks angry and normally that would probably scare the shit out of me; there's a storm in her you don't want to wake. However, right now it's only a facade. I can guess from the sudden wetness between her legs. Shit, that's probably worse. What have I gotten myself into.
“As it happens, I have just the thing to fix that language of yours.”
From her bag, she produces a gag. A round little thing filled with holes and connected to leather straps on both sides. Since when does she have that? As soon as I open my mouth to ask, it's between my teeth and she's already fastening it behind my neck. The goddamn thing is getting stuck in my hair. She should know better by now. When she loosens it to untangle the mess she made, I naturally yell: “What the—”, but before another sound can come out she pushes the gag right back in. Dead serious, she stares at my with those deep blue eyes of hers. Eyes you could drown into.
“Shut up and stop moving.”
I lose myself in these eyes of hers, drifting away in an endless ocean of blue. God she's hot. Before I know it, the collar is fixed in place.
“Sorry about that, I got a tad overexcited.”
No shit. My leg is soaking wet.
“I've been waiting for a while to use it and you seemed in a particularly bad mood.”
And she understood it meant I needed to to blow off steam. I didn't say anything yet she can read me like an open book. Or maybe she just wanted to shut me up for once. I don't see it, but I hear the sound of a slap against my right cheek, then the sharp sting.
“That, that's your punishment for talking back to me. Now, before we go further, does the gag bothers you or can we keep going like this?”
The sudden shift from severeness to tenderness in her tone confuses me a little, not to mention the sudden slap, but I'm too turned on to refuse her anything right now so I simply nod. Just as quick as the first one, another smack hits my left.
“That, that's your reward for playing along with my toy.”
Then she cups my chin into her hand and starts kissing me. Or rather, starts kissing the ball between my lips. Either way, she's feeling damn generous today. Slowly, tenderly at first, but soon it becomes more than that. Her hips begin to grind against my leg, her warm breath fills my mouth with every little moan as she tugs the balls with her teeth. I want to taste her. I want her lips against mine and I want to feel her tongue, but there's this stupid shitty little piece of plastic in the way. All my I can feel is my own drool dripping down. It should be my lips she's tugging at, nibbling the soft flesh and the texture of her skin on my tongue, not this smooth piece of crap and its holes. Instinctively my body tries to get closer to hers, longing for the contact of her skin. With every inch I bend forward she takes one back until I'm hunched over as far as my bond will allow, our bodies still apart. Her impish smile is back, for real this time. Fuck. She wasn't being generous in the slightest bit.
My heart is racing, a low throbbing in my ears. Lapis is right there, barely a foot in front of me. And she's caressing herself. Her hand is cupped between her legs, the other flowing along the curves of her hip, her waist, slowly creeping up on her breast. There's nothing I can do, nothing but listen to every gasp and moan as she rocks her hips rock back and forth, nothing but look at every inch of her skin, every movement and muscle contraction bringing her closer and closer to the edge. I can sense her eyes crawling over me, setting my nerves afire as they pass. For a second, our eyes lock and right then I notice, heck I can feel her fingers pinch her nipple as if it were my own. It sends a tremor across my body that wakes a feral appetite in my insides. Her voice fills my head and I know she's screaming louder just to tease me, but I'm past the point of caring. My entire being is eager for her touch, for anything really. My skin is burning, my hands sweaty and every muscle tense against the rope and I know I'm pulling too hard because it hurts now but at least it's something. I want to scream at her, tell her to stop screwing around and start screwing me. So I do, only there's little more than drool and unintelligible sounds coming out of my mouth.
“Sounds like you're trying to say something, Jasper. Maybe you're too hot?” she asks, plucking a bead of sweat off my stomach. In my current state it's all it takes to send a shiver trough my spine. It gives me goosebumps all over, every inch of skin in high alert, itching for more. She leans closer, her hand hovering over my breast, my stomach, my inner thigh... I bite into the gag as hard as possible and it's all I can do to repress a whimper. Between us, the distance verging on nothing is maddening.
At long last the warmth of her hand covers my center. A moment of pure bliss. Her body finally settled against mine, the smell of her hair filling my nose and her fingers sliding into my slit. I savor every second of it, taking in all the little details: every nibble along my neck, the softness of her lips and the sharpness of her teeth; every breath she exhales on my skin, their rhythm, sound and heat; and every touch, the light scraping of her nails on my back and the slow thrust of her fingers inside me. Harder.
“Mine,” she whisper.
Her fingers accelerate and her thumb presses against my swollen clit. My whole body trembles at the pressure building inside me. It’s no secret that recent events have begun to make people paint Rose in a… different light. Matt Burnett even hinted at something incredibly dark and foreboding that has been foreshadowed throughout the entire show so far.
Recently in the episode “Keeping It Together” we learned that a host of terrifying force-fusion experiments on innocent gems took place deep below the Kindergarten. After discovering the monstrosities, Garnet nearly has an existential crisis.
But I think Garnet is dead wrong. Not only did Rose Quartz know, but she was the original mastermind behind these Dr. Frankenstein-esque experiments.
First, let’s look at the terminal used to activate the chamber.
The terminal features a diamond on the palm and is left-handed. There is a similar terminal that was featured earlier in Lion 2: The movie.
It features Rose’s emblem, but more importantly, is also left-handed.
In Sworn To The Sword we saw a flashback of Rose Quartz in battle.
Rose Quartz is wielding her sword in her left hand. Rose Quartz is left-handed.
Next, let’s look at the state of the gems used in the experiments.
Forcibly glued together. As far as we know, the gems don’t have access to current technology like the goop used to restore the gem warps. That doesn’t rule out another factor though: Rose’s tears.
A cracked gem, sealed using the power of Rose’s gem. We know it’s possible for gems to be glued together without the use of Peridot’s robonoids.
What about Peridot? In The Return she said the mission was to “check on the cluster”, implying that someone had been toying with these gems far earlier than Peridot was around.
In Marble Madness when Peridot first reveals the tubes housing the gem fusions, she was reactivating them, implying they had been there far earlier.
The last two points I’m about to make are the most chilling. In Keeping It Together Garnet said the gems that were broken into pieces were buried, most likely by the Crystal Gems.
Only Rose and the Crystal Gems knew where these shards were. It would be very easy for her to hide a few of them to use for later experiments.
Lastly, every single forced fusion in the Kindergarten took the form of a hand, foot, arm, or leg.
The bubble in Secret Team happened to contained a variety of gem body parts like arms and legs.
Rose Quartz being the mastermind behind those experiments bring a whole new perspective on Lion and Steven.
I’m not saying Steven was an experiment, far from it, what I’m saying is her knowledge of fusions is what made Steven/Lion possible in the first place. Lion might just have been a test of sorts before tackling the organic/gem thing herself. Considering the... delicate nature of such experiments and how they would be related to forced fusion it would explain why she hid Lion’s existence from Pearl.
fun fact! mirrors reflect each color equally, except for green. if you have ever seen a mirror perfectly aligned in front of another mirror, a.k.a. an infinite mirror, you can look through it and see that it becomes greener and greener. therefore, mirrors are technically green!

garnet is literally a rock. a rock from outer space. needless to say those alien rocks from outer space don’t have the same racial constructs that we have on earth. a rock is a rock. it is safe to assume that no one on homeworld is referred to as white, black, hispanic, asian, or what have you.
but it is abundantly clear that garnet is coded as black. that is, even though she’s not ‘technically’ black, she plainly reads to the viewers as such. from her color scheme, her physical features, and her voice actress, we are all able to discern this.
if someone told you 'they’re rocks! they have no race! so i can read garnet as white if i want!’ then you’d be pretty pissed, right? because that’s taking away from representation that’s clearly meant to be there. even if she doesn’t go through the same real-life tribulations that black people do, the black kids watching can see someone who looks and sounds like them on screen, and that’s incredibly significant. you’d have to be kind of an asshole to pretend it’s not 'really’ there. i’m pretty sure we all agree there.
so why the hell does everyone suddenly blow their lid when someone calls pearl a lesbian??
look: the gems present in a feminine manner. they have feminine physical features, they wear feminine clothes, they are all voiced by women, they refer to themselves with she/her pronouns, and as does everyone around them. they never once point to being uncomfortable with this – we’ve never even had a one-off line of one of them saying something like 'man, i don’t really get this earth gender thing, but i GUESS you can call me a girl if you want’. that makes them female-coded. yes, on the 'backstage’ side, some of the crewniverse said they are genderless – however, absolutely none of this is reflected in the show. to anyone watching without getting involved with the tumblr community, there would be no reason to think the gems are anything other than female.
so when the crew wrote pearl having a romantic relationship with rose, or sapphire having a romantic relationship with ruby? while it’s not 'technically’ gay, because they come from a society where the sex and gender binary doesn’t exist – it is gay-coded. to the people watching, it reads as gay. that was, 100%, the crew’s intention. and that is every bit as humongously important as garnet being black. this is a huge thing for young queer kids watching – hell, it’s a huge thing for ADULT queer people watching, too.
so stop shitting on people who enjoy this obviously intentional representation by pretending it doesn’t exist. thank you

Since the gems are all of the same gender (female, or arguably genderless), it automatically makes them homosexuals. (homo: ”same”)
Feel free to shove that in the face of anyone supporting the Pearl isn’t a lesbian; even if she isn’t, she is still super duper gay.
Bonus: saying Pearl is not a lesbian because the gems are not female automatically makes Greg not straight. (not male + female, still technically heterosexual though)
