@prplhawk Wade sat on the ledge of a building with his legs dangling as he listened to music and looked around for something to do. Suddenly he spotted Clint and grinned. He hadn’t seen the archer in a while. With ease, he hopped off the roof, onto an awning and landed in front of him. Wade didn’t know that Clint had a hearing aid, so he lifted his mask as usual and signed hello, while saying it so Clint could read his lips.

Clint reached for his Hawkeye dagger as he saw a shadow moving but relaxed quickly as he saw it was Deadpool. “Hello. I can hear you.” Clint answered and tapped lightly on the bright purple hearing aid in his ear. “What are you doing here?”

Wade smiled and looked. “Oh, look at that,” he chuckled as he looked at the hearing aid. “As for what I’m doing here, well I was visiting. But small world huh? I haven’t seen you in ages!” The merc yelled as he pulled Clint into a hug.

Yeah.“ Clint hate wearing the hearing aids but it was necassary on missions to keep comtact to the others.

"Ouch! Could you stop yelling?” He quickly moved a finger on the hearing aid to change the volume.

Wade woke up and stretched with a loud groan. He got up slowly and headed for the kitchen.

Emily heard him get up and worked at re-bandaging her arms. She was embarrassed by her injuries, but knew there was nothing much she could do about them other than wait and let them heal.

Wade started coffee then headed towards the bathroom. “Hey, you gonna be long,” he called from the other side of the door. He wouldn’t just barge in.

Emily jumped. “Just another couple moments.” She said, finishing up the bandages and putting her sweater back on. She took a breath and stepped out of the rest room. “Good morning.” She said.

“Good morning,” he greeted back. “I started coffee, help yourself,” he added as he headed into the bathroom

Emily smiled and nodded. She usually wasn’t a coffee drinker, but she didn’t want to be rude either. She poured herself a cup and sipped it as she watched out the kitchen window at the cool morning outside. She felt herself relax and took a deep breath.

He entered back in the kitchen and poured himself some coffee before joining her at the table. “So what’s on the agenda for today,” he asked before sipping his coffee.

Emily bit her lip. “I’m not sure.” She admitted. “I guess plan my next move.” She took another sip of coffee.

Wade chuckled and nodded as he sipped his coffee. “I guess that’s a good idea,” he replied, offering her a smile. He hated being so exposed without his mask, but he tried not to let it show.

Emily did look up at his face, having seeing the the whole face for the first time. She blinked, but tried not to stare. “What happened.. if I may ask.”

Sighing with a chuckle, Wade sipped his coffee before going into detail. “I had cancer, it was killing me. So, someone told me about a program that would not only cure me, but make me invincible. I didn’t believe it, but I had nothing to lose,” he paused and looked out the window. “After weeks of torture, my mutation came out. These though,” he pointed to the spots on his skin. “These are the cancer cells. They came to the surface,” he frowned and looked down at his cup.

Emily listened quietly. “I’m sorry to hear that..” she said. “But you pulled through, you escaped.” She smiled, trying to assure him.

“At the cost of extreme pain,” he replied softly. “Over the years I’ve gotten used to it, but when this first happened, the pain was so bad that the only thing I could do was curl up in bed and cry,” he looked up and smiled slightly. “Being able to overcome that was no easy feat.”

Emily looked up at him, feeling her heart ache. She wished she could help him, offer some healing but she wasn’t sure if her ability could help. She eventually looked down at her arms, not saying much else.

“Ah, I don’t want pity, love,” he said with a smile. “Everyone’s got a sad story after all,” he added as he finished his coffee.
