[📌] Welcome to my blog. My name is Ryan and I’m a hobby artist who occasionally freelances. I mostly draw ocs and whichever fictional man haunts my psyche at the moment.
I am an adult and I tend to discuss more mature subjects. While I do shy away from actually posting explicit NSFW, my work is still more on the suggestive in nature. Some content I consume may be questionable but I engage in both my interests and my work critically. We use our thinking caps here.
Okay so why the polycule if you are clearly only interested in drawing your oc with Nero?
Daccapri was originally concepted to be Nico’s girlfriend. It’s kind of hard to unmarry her from the concept cause I was writing crazy fics at the time. Her close proximity to the entire cast builds from this too lol. 😂 when I used to frequent dmc oc spaces in 2019.
A polycule because Daccapri is there, not because Nero is there. Incredibly common misconception bc I do the whole 3 gfs who smoke weed joke a lot.
But I have to know if this, what I am to assume sounds like, frustration on your part is cause you’re here from the fic or if you just so happened to stumble across my blog.
Fig 1. Sage Attire: Pictured from Left to Right: Balder, Daccapri ( @tacticaldivine ), Cordelia and Serenity ( @umbran-rose ) and Llewelyn ( @orbiicat ).
Fig 2. Pious Plumage: This is more like a passive ability than an active one(?) Just wanted to highlight feather usage as a summoning medium and spell conduit.
Fig 3. Heavenly Body and Celestial Body: Used Aesir cause it helps sell the whole star theming. Originally intended to be a feature unique to Daccapri, Heavenly Body is a technique to mirror the Wicked Weaves of the Witches. In-Game we know all of Balder's kicks are replaced with spell casting but I do like the idea of Sage's being able to go toe-to-toe with a witch without the use of the Laguna. Even at the sacrifice of a unique moveset.
Fig 4. Supercharge. The Lumen's answer to Serious Mode. Granting them access to a seemingly endless supply of feathers and the ability to fly; increasing their attack and movement speed. Balder has both Supercharge and Serious Mode but, the way in which I built Daccapri's moveset does not require the difference so it’s not here, sorry.
Fig 5: Divine Intervention. Lumen ver. of Demon Slave. Because Lumens are intended to not rely on the Angels the same way Umbra do their Demons; I imagine this is a very rare occurrence for them. At the same time, those angels are mouthy as hell so calling them to mildly inconvenience them to fight is too fun.
Fig 6. Heavenly Virtue: These coins represent a user's lifeforce and the more coins are added the more stress it puts on the Sage. The stronger the angel, the more coins are required. The simple concept of having to bribe them to show up is sillay. Visually coins would appear like the score medallions at the end of each chapter.
Fig 7. Heavenly Virtue pt 2: Daccapri is half angle half demon half human, get over it. Having been born to a Witch and her pact demon, and then blood bonded to Argosax; yeah its safe to say she has more than enough qualifications to summon a demon without explicit training in doing so. Daccapri would pride herself in her inherent ability to harm angels, so I don't believe she'd be upset that she can't do the ritual.
gen so funny that I'm building all this for her just to have her hang out in the Devil May Cry office and bother Nero 😭
don’t recognize your face in this glow (gone, gone, gone)
forcing myself to draw them together more to figure out their dynamic
Okayyy so Lucia and Daccapri’s Rivalry:
- At minimum have known each other for at least 20 years (subject to change)
- Lucia is at least three (3) apples taller than Daccapri
- As much as I like Lucia being lithe, giving her more muscle is more fun.
- Much like Daccapri’s rivalry with Nero; Lucia embraces her humanity but Daccapri embraces her demonic side. Unlike Nero; Lucia is acutely aware of all the evil things Daccapri has done and never lets her live them down.
- Despite being significantly younger, Lucia fills the role of the more strict and responsible one. Having assumed the role of mentor to Daccapri during her time at Uroboros
- I do not believe that Lucia is evil but her aloof demeanour makes it easier for Daccapri to portray her as evil, even if unintentionally
- I like to think while Daccapri is more playful and is better at mimicking human emotions, she has an easier time assimilating but she is the one to worry about
- Lucia doesn’t really want to kill her but the only way to get thru to her has been through conflict cause it’s all they know. A dance of sorts.
- You could liken it to that of Dante and Vergil
- Lucia and Daccapri are not half as legendary as the Sparda twins but I wouldn’t doubt that there aren’t at least a rumour or two about them and their fights
- Lucia’s fighting style is much faster than Daccapri’s. Her short range melee weapons means she’s always up close and forces Daccapri to fight defensively.
- Lucia and Daccapri are fine tuned to each other’s mannerisms. Lucia knows who she is instantly upon meeting Abernathy. She can fool anyone, but not Lucia.
- They definitely deadname each other during their banter
