          “ Ahh— Good evening, Jakob, sir! The rain sure is coming down fairly hard... “

          The course of the afternoon had been treacherous, a march during the narrow crack of dawn kicking everyone into a cantankerous condition, irritable even at the slightest gesture or greeting. A set of sleepy eyes peeked over the top of a book at the butler, the lull of the rain pounding from the outside. A yawn stretched his jaws, a hand swiftly reaching up to cover the action as the book he held met once again with the end table from which he collected it.

          His robes were crisp and ironed, falling around him neatly as he took a moment to rise from the plush armchair. Morgan’s eyes trailed back up to meet the butler’s and his mouth opened itself to ask a question, for in truth, the youth had dozens; it had only been days ago that he had arrived to such a foreign land.

          “ Did your liege ask for you to fetch them an item? If I could, I’d like to ask for your permission to accompany you! I’ve been practicing a shielding incantation that just might keep you dry, sir! “

          “ Mother, are you taking me somewhere today? Is it outside of the camp, too? “

          Bounding on the balls of his feet, the child couldn’t help but beam back a smile that rivaled the sun’s own. A single day had passed since he had reunited with his dear mother, and even shorter was their time spent together. His eyes reflected the scenery that encircled him, fawn flushed optics still unacquainted with how young his mother appeared in this timeline.

          Tossing aside that trackless train of thought, he then began to ponder, speculating where in the world she would take him; a dragon’s lair, perhaps, or a castle, grander than anything documented within the folds of his many books. Wherever chance lead the pair, their time would be very well spent.

          Morgan’s headache had waned long ago, his oldest memory as of present being the  feeling of splotched sunlight settling on his face.  Dark blue hair drifted in front of his eyes as he fumbled for  even the slightest revelation of what was going on, his own name even dancing just on  the tip of his tongue.

          His eyes adjusted to the glaring sunlight shortly after managing to sit up, having awoken to frantic hands checking for a pulse. A form knelt next to him, he could tell, though a stray lock of hair obscured his light brown optics and the rest of his features until it had been swiped aside.  

          Why had he been simply dozing off in the middle of a foreign field, anyways?           There are better places to take a nap than on the ground╾    he knew.

“ Pardon me, Miss, but who are you? And frankly... Could you please tell me who I am? ”

My Fates verse takes place after the events of the main storyline, in Ylisse’s ‘Golden age’.Although it’s stated that his memories never returned to him, it’s heavily implied that he continues to enjoy his life in Ylisse among his family, so, after perhaps two or three wonderful years, Morgan is travelling about Ylisse, collecting and amassing an insurmountable sum of books as he continues along his quest to outwit and surpass his mother’s shadow.However!Upon departing the market stalls, he happens upon an old man being harassed by a group of unruly ruffians, and immediately decides to pitch in, and break up the unmerited dispute without fighting back, as he was unarmed, and unprepared to deal with a small band of ne’er do wells. When the ruffians did depart, the old man had checked up on the state of Morgan’s injuries, a small collection of scrapes, cuts, and purple bruise being the worst of the wounds.Grateful and mildly impressed at the young man’s kindness, the elder man introduces himself as a sage, hailing from a faraway kingdom, where a great conflict was beginning to burst forth.After discussing more of the unfolding situation, Morgan’s curiosity is piqued by the sage. Towards the end of the evening, they grant each other the promise to meet up again the next day, and so forth. They discuss various topics at great length, the sage occasionally asking Morgan about his morals, and situations that warranted difficult decision making.After their ninth and final meeting, one simple question is asked by the mysterious sage, to which Morgan does not hesitate to answer.“Will you help my homeland?”“Of course. Mother would never abandon someone in need, and I’ve been raised to do the same,” he affirms.“Then please, young Morgan. I implore you to meet me one last time, at this very spot. Are you firm in your decision?”“I’ve never been more sure of anything else Mister Sage, sir. I’ll devote myself to help your kingdom’s plight, and I promise to help resolve it!”He does as he is asked, showing up the next day. The Rainbow Sage smiles at Morgan, before letting his mouth fall slack.“Are you sure you’re ready for this, Morgan?”“My answer remains the same, sir.”“As you desire, child. You have my deepest thanks.”At the last word, he places a hand to Morgan’s head, and the young tactician falls to his knees, vision quickly expiring to black. The next moments were highly dizzying and numbing, and his head ached mildly as he regained feeling within his limbs. The warmth of splotched sunlight tickled his skin, his robes splayed around him as Morgan’s eyelids weakly opened, his stomach still nauseous. Tall shoots of grass stuck up from the ground, Morgan laying among them as he fought valiantly to stay conscious. He tried to think to what had happened, and to no avail. His eyelids betrayed him, shutting heavily as his will to keep them open dwindled to a halt.He awakes to the sounds of voices, someone’s gentle hand feeling for a pulse, checking his vitals. The dizziness has passed, but his lack of memory still confounds him. With a grunt, he sits up, and his vision focuses on the person who had found him in the foreign forest.“Who are you…? And where am I?”“You’re in Hoshido… My name is…”-tldr; He meets the Rainbow Sage after breaking up a dispute, and they meet several times, the Sage later asking Morgan for his help in restoring peace to his homeland. He agrees, and is once more, sent across time and space, only to find himself laying within a field of tall grass in Hoshido, at the unforeseen cost of his memories. After  falling victim to another bout of unconsciousness, Morgan is awoken by the sound of a concerned voice, Morgan sitting up slowly, asking where he was, and who they were, Morgan then finding out they’re in Hoshido.-Unfortunately, this is all I have at the moment, but the Verse will become more fleshed out as he has more interactions with characters from Fates!

The motive, be it contempt, or spite, led to the plausible hypothesis that there was far too much chili powder lurking within the undergrowth╾ the broth of his stew. Morgan’s jaws were alight, the sides of his mouth burning from the excess spice, a pained smile masking the fire and brimstone sensation resting atop his taste buds.
