"Sounds perfect to me." Pomni said.
"Yeah. Fall's kind of prime time for carnivals, anyway." Ribbit added.
"And there's always something for everyone!" Kinger agreed.
Caine brightened at once — he was always overjoyed when the humans liked his ideas.
“It’s settled, then!” He spun into the air, holding out his arms. “Digital Carnival, here we come!”
The next several minutes were a semi-chaotic half rush, half walk to the Digital Carnival. Of course, the younger members were the ones pushing the pace, particularly Jax and Ribbit, while Kinger and Queenie remained more measured.
Even so, they stayed roughly together up to the Carnival gates. After all, Caine was the one dictating what they did. If he wanted a group activity first, it was best not to scatter to the four winds before he could say as much.
The carnival had been quiet as they approached, but as soon as they passed through the gates, it suddenly burst to life around them. Rides rolled along their tracks, barkers began summoning them towards the various games, food vendors began offering funnel cake and giant turkey legs.
Caine immediately started rounding up anyone who wanted to go on the rides with him, leaving those who didn't to their own devices. Ragatha, not much of a thrill ride person, politely declined, as did Queenie. Kaufmo and Zooble went with Caine. Jax, meanwhile, had spotted a shooting gallery set up nearby, and started urging Ribbit to compete with her there. She had been a bit more openly flirty since they'd all come back from the cruise (which had featured a handful of semi-romantic moments: watching the stars from the ship's observatory, visiting the Eiffel Tower in Paris...) and was eager to show off her sharpshooter skills and hopefully impress her crush.
