Respecting A Creatorโs AU
Credit the creator.
Respect the creator.
Donโt shove your opinion in other peopleโs face. If someone doesnโt like what you admire. Itโs perfectly fine it doesnโt mean you attack them relentlessly. No one likes that.
If the creator does something that you dislike. For example changing a character or expanding the world in the AU. Donโt go harassing the creator. Creators donโt appreciate being yelled to the face about how the previous character they used was better. It is their work and their choice. If you like the old one so much better, then just like the old one.
Tags. Itโs always good to put a tag of the AU in the work. Though when that piece of work contains NSFW content. Take a moment to think about posting it. Some creators may not mind, but some may not want to see NSFW content of their AU. Though social media often is aimed towards an older audience minors still are there.
Interacting with creators could be fun or maybe you make a friend. Though you shouldnโt ever spam or bother a creator to an extreme extent. Itโs all about boundaries and personal space.
Lastly there are many great people in this fandom. I am not saying that everyone doesnโt follow these concepts. Though in the past weโve lost a lot of creators. Very well known ones too or new upcoming ones. We want this community to be a welcoming warm one. Thank you for those who had been polite and respectful.
