Quite a heartbreaking news to me as for me Tumblr is a good place to seek for knowledge. However the teenagers nowadays treat it as a pornography site. So bad!
4 promises from Allāh in the Quran
Ya Rabbi, empty my heart of distractions which veils me from you, ameen.

Don’t bring up the past of a person who is trying to improve their future
This is such an important message that is so relevant to me. Please, do not stop people from reaching a good place in life because of things they cannot take back. It is so painful. (via caffheine)
Irrelevant to the religion: your opinion.
My ustadha said something really beautiful today. She said, “When you’re doing assignments on your laptops you can sometimes make errors, so to get rid of them you press the backspace. It would be as if you never made that error in the first place. And there’s no limit. No limit to how many times you can press it.
Repentance is just like that.
There’s no limit to how many times you can repent. And the most beautiful thing about repentance is that, just like the backspace, repentance erases your sins so that you have a clean slate again.”
What is the matter with me? When I lose a chicken I feel concerned, but when I miss the prayer in congregation, it does not grieve me.
Yūnus Bin ‘Abdu’llāh, Ḥilyat al-Awliyāʼ (3/19)
Imagine if our sins, those minor and major, had a distinct smell or mark? What if our own faces exposed our past mistakes, sins, shortcomings? Subḥān Allāh! But this is not the case. Allāh out of his Mercy covered us, did not expose us after our many slip-ups and continues to veil them from the people. How Merciful is our Rabb.
“If Allāh سبحانه وتعالى opens for you the door of standing for the night prayer, then do not look at those sleeping with a look of contempt.
And if Allāh عز وجل opens for you the door of fasting then do not look at those who do not fast with a look of disdain.
If Allāh تبارك وتعالى opens for you the door of Jihad, then do not look at those who remained behind with a look of irritation.
For it may be that the one who sleeps, breaks his fast and the one who remained behind is closer to Allāh سبحانه وتعالى than you.
Indeed if you spent the night sleeping and woke up regretful, it is better than the one who spent the night standing and woke up admiring himself, for indeed the one who admires himself is actions are not accepted.”
— Imām Ibn al-Qayyim, Madārij As-Sālikin
Q. May I read the Qurʾān when I lie down on my side or on my back?
A. You may read the Qurʾān when you are standing, sitting, walking, jogging, riding a car, or lying down. Yet if you wish to fully benefit from your recitation, it is better to read when you are seated, facing the Qiblah: when you understand the meaning of the verses you are reciting and when you contemplate their meanings.
— Shaykh Ibn Jibrīn, Islāmic Rulings Regarding The Qurʾān (p. 26)
be gentle with your soul for it has endured indescribable pain and shed countless silent tears when your soul calls for you answer it with kindness and show it compassion for in times of distress it needs you to stay strong to tell it sabr my love to say your Lord does not burden you more than you can bear and when your soul calls for you be gentle with it
