Introduction

Hi, I'm Lyssa. I’ve been writing a lot longer than I’ve been roleplaying. I follow a lot of RPH and 1x1 blogs on my main account, and I decided to step into this 1x1 realm. I don’t really know what to expect or what I might gain from it, but I hope to expand on my writing and character development. I really love roleplaying and I’m in college with too much free time.

I am open to playing characters of both sexes and of all genders. I have yet to do any slash, I'm not sure how well I'll be able to pull it off -- but I can try. I’m cool with playing out both real-life and supernatural/fantasy role-plays. My style of writing is pretty versatile, I usually write in the third person (so excuse any miss wording as I adjust)  and you can see a sample of my writing

1). What is your favorite item of clothing? How old is it?

I have a cotton t-shirt of my husband's that's probably about twenty years old. It's gray and it has Papa Smurf on the front. But it's my favorite because it's got to the stage where the cotton is so worn and soft that it's the most comfy thing I have, even though the print is all faded.

2). If you were an animal, what animal would you be and why?

I don't even know. A wolf, maybe. They live in packs, but are also independent, and they're fiercely protective but can be domesticated with a little bit of training. A wolf or a fish. Because I like water.

3). Do you lead or do you follow?

I follow. Like the best damn sheep you ever saw.

4). Your dream vacation. Give as much or as little of description as you wish.

My dream vacation is to go to Bora Bora. I've been once, and it was amazing, but I'd like to go again. My dream vacation would literally consist of doing nothing. I would be quite happy to sit on the beach, maybe swim a little, snorkel, eat. I'd want to go at the time of year when it's not too busy. When it's mainly just the locals, so that it's quiet.

5). If you were on any TV show (current or no longer airing), which would it be?

Oh help. Uh...probably Castle or Grey's Anatomy. Castle because, you know, Stana. And Grey's because McDreamyMcSteamyMcVet. Maybe JAG, if that was possible. I'd want to play a doctor, I think, regardless of the show. And I did actually consider joining the Navy, so JAG might be cool.

6). What is your favorite thing to do in bed that is non-sexual in nature?

Sleep? Oh, seriously, I get it. I like being in bed with someone when you're either just about to fall asleep or you've just woken up, and you try and have a conversation but your brain's not really there yet? I think that's cute.

7). What is your favorite song? Why?

I don't have one favorite song. It changes pretty much every week. The songs I can't stop listening to right now are "Chasing Cars" by the Grey's Anatomy Cast, "When I Was Your Man" by Bruno Mars, "These Arms Of Mine" by Otis Redding, "In My Veins" by Andrew Belle, and "Let Her Go" by Passenger. But that is this week. Ask me again soon.

8). What is your overall favorite television character? Why?

Sarah MacKenzie from JAG. She's a character with whom I can really identify - troubled childhood, abandoned by a parent, struggled with addiction - but more than that, I think she's an incredibly strong female character.

9). If there was one thing in your life that you could change, what would it be and why?

Shit, only one? Okay, I think I would have liked to have studied English at college. I'm pretty good at it, and I'm interested in it, so.

10). Do you live life to the fullest? Or at least by your own standards?

Uh, no. Not to anybody's standards, I don't think.

I'm astonished by my capacity for anxiety. Though not generally inclined to metaphysical speculation, for some days now I've been filled with intense, even physical anxiety as I grope for answers.
