do you ever just girls?
first art of 2019! some friends and I are hashing out a post-apoc werewolf au and it’s been a lot of insp for me lately.
✨ an Aggy ✨
I’ve been thinking a lot today about an HP au with my characters (and secretly other people’s but I didn’t want to assume a lot of things, so yeah just… mostly my ocs)
Aggy – Hufflepuff, best subject is Herbology but excels in Potions as well. keeps potted plants around her bed in the dormitory and is forgetful when it comes to remembering the password to the common room. comes from a modest family, with a witch for a mother and a squib for a father. has a pet cat/kneazle hybrid named Adelaide.
Hammer – Hufflepuff, best subject is Transfiguration. metamorphmagus. doesn’t have any particular plans when it comes to the future, but would like to travel and see the world. has a lot of friends across houses, often seen flitting from group to group.
Isri – Ravenclaw, best subject is Charms. is interested in muggle culture (particularly theater and fashion) and admires their non-magical accomplishments. rather savvy when it comes to the muggle world in general and is a little sad he doesn’t have many people to talk about it with. half-veela and half-human.
Jay – Ravenclaw, best subject is Care of Magical Creatures. seems to be on good terms with his copy of The Monster Book of Monsters. very intense about his desire to learn more about magical creatures and often gets in trouble for trying to make trips to the Forbidden Forest. plans to become a Magizoologist once done with school.
Tamara – Defense Against the Dark Arts professor, Slytherin while in school. ran with a powerful warlock in her younger years and burned bridges and made bad decisions while doing so. she eventually separated from them and turned a new leaf. aims to give her students a realistic depiction of the dangers of dark magic, as well as provide them with the tools they need to protect themselves. strict but fair as a teacher, pushes her students hard and gives credit when it is due.
Torsten – Divination professor, Slytherin while in school. very knowledgeable but their personality is difficult to deal with. commonly strays from the set curriculum and skips their own classes for matters they consider more important. docks points indiscriminately for petty reasons. has an office full of cats and most are unsure of why they have not been fired.
that’s all I’ve got at the moment. probably will post more whenever headcanons come to me.

23. Introduce OC that has changed from your first idea concerning what the character would be like?Answered here!
28. Your most dangerous OC?It’s Emilio. He’s not my only antagonist and he’s not the most powerful character among my kiddos, but I feel like he’s the last person you’d want to cross. His personality, warped ego, lack of remorse, and sheer need to be the most dominant person around make him really tricky to deal with. Emilio’s crafted himself into a fine-tuned machine. He relies on years of personal training (in several forms of combat) and intimidation to get where he wants to be. It can be very difficult to get the upperhand when you’re facing off with him. He always has a trick up his sleeve.
Avencanon Emilio is more dangerous than his normal characterization... given that he has magic and other strange things on his side. But I don’t plan to feature him outside of his own particular subplot. Emilio’s powerful but I don’t want him to reach godmod levels in relation to the other characters.
42. Which one of your OCs would be the most interested in Greek gods?Mmm... I guess Yes? Yes (twin w horns + tail) reads a lot of religious mythology so they’d have more interest in that sort of thing than other ocs.
45. A character you no longer use?I don’t have any characters that I no longer use. Some get put on the backburner for years but they’re always in the back of my mind. I try to revamp and recycle ocs as much as possible because they’re all very special to me - /// w /// -
48. OC who is a perfect cinnamon roll, too good for this world, too pure.Mmm... I guess this is a tie between Lani and Aggy. Lani because he’s just out and out selfless and highly altruistic. He volunteers for charitable causes, is great with kids and the elderly, and is always attempting to be there for people when they’re emotionally distraught. His level of self-sacrifice is kind of ridiculous... because he’s always willing to put aside his own feelings if it means it will put a smile on someone else’s face, no matter who it is. (I don’t particularly consider that a good thing about his personality because he could avoid a lot of uncomfortable situations if he was more honest about his feelings. So I’m always interested in seeing people nudge him into to being a little more selfish).
Aggy’s not as altruistic as Lani, but she’s still a sweetie pie. She comes off as a frightened rabbit because of her timidity and cowardice. It’s common for people to feel fiercely protective of her (Hajari, for example, is like her personal guard dog in the canons they share together). Aggy’s the type of person you’d feel guilty about cursing around or sharing innuendos with. She’s a crybaby and her friends often scramble to not upset her because they hate seeing her sad.
some of my ocs as apartment neighbors because it's on my mind rn
Hajari - the obnoxious neighbor with a tangible presence in the building. he blasts his booty rap loud enough you can feel the bass. it's rare for you to actually see him in person, but tons of people come and go out of his apartment at all hours of the day. most of the neighbors would know him personally and opinions would range between 'I hate that guy' and 'yeah we're tight.'
Lani - the friendliest neighbor and if you'd just moved in, he'd have a welcome basket for you. he'd check in to see if you were doing okay if he hadn't heard from you or seen you in a couple weeks. Lani would give you his extra leftovers if he made too much food. he tries to be considerate and will work towards compromising if any friction occurs with a neighbor.
Tor - that creepy neighbor you think may have committed a murder but don't have real proof of their crime. Tor looks shady and isn't personable. most likely you'd run into them while they were up to something strange and instead of explaining what they were up to, they'd just give a cryptic smile and laugh. their apartment would be on the top floor and you could hear odd thuds and noises if you lived directly below them.
Aggy - probably the landlady, having received the apartment from a family member that can no longer tend to the facilities. she's shy when dealing with others but you can tell she puts her heart and soul into the building. Aggy's efficient with what she does. the apartment's clean and presentable. there aren't any major maintenance problems. and there's always fresh flowers in the lobby.
