glory fades || jinki & lay
Jinki yawned, boarding the bus that would bring him downtown and to his temporary salvation. The club was by no means perfect for his intentions what with all the shitfaced sorority girls and blasting music, but it held promises of alcohol and the quiet, understanding company of a certain Chinese boy. Jinki honestly barely knew Lay. He couldn't tell you what classes the other took for a million dollars, but he did know some of the guy's deepest problems and his phone number. They were nothing more than drinking buddies, but that actually meant a surprising amount to Jinki.
Jinki pulled the cord on the bus to request his stop and straightened his shirt. He jumped off the bus and headed for the club as quickly as he could, thanking God that Lay would be there and have a drink waiting. He could hear the pop music blasting from half a block away and memories of his lazy jaunts here with Jonghyun were encroaching in on him and he was feeling irritated and gross and oh, just thank God for Lay and for alcohol.
He pushed through the bouncers with a flash of his ID and made his way to the back bar where Lay was waiting. He offered the familiar other a small nod and pushed himself onto a barstool. "Good evening," Jinki yawned, smiling wistfully and sucking at the straw of his drink. "Thanks for ordering."
