might as well stick it here bc this is what this blog is for
1) What’s your character’s name?
Henry Apollos Pearson
2) How old are they?
21 (as of 2015)
3) What gender is your OC?
cis male
4) What’s their species/race/nationality?
half-human, half-???; Irish/British; American
APPEARANCE:
1) If this character were to suddenly become part of the real world, and ended up in a heavily-populated area, how many stares would they get?
probably few, after the initial shock wore off from his sudden appearance.
2) Is your character considered normal in their own world?
sort of. he’s normal on a superficial level, but his abilities and true heritage would not be considered the norm.
3) What would be their most recognizable feature(s)?
his bright blond hair and large, neon green glasses. Henry is rarely seen without a smile as well.
4) Would you consider your OC attractive?
canonically, he is one of my more attractive characters. but he’s more on the level of Luché… it’s a down-to-earth kind of handsome, rather than anything stunning. but his habit of smiling at nearly anything can put people off.
PERSONALITY:
1) What kind of temper do they have?
he’s not quick to anger, but once you set him off it takes him a while to defuse. his anger may bring violence if it’s directed at someone he hates.
2) Does your character ever get depressed?
Henry has Major depressive disorder, thus pervasive low moods are common to him. he often appears jovial, but it is largely an empty act meant to keep others from knowing how he truly feels. he’s a mixture of a type I and type II Stepford Smiler.
3) Leader or follower?
a little of both. he’ll take the initiative if asked or if no one else is willing to take the role, but is content with following as well… so long as the person seems competent.
4) What is the main aspect of their personality?
he’s outgoing and friendly, but the latter quality is not particularly genuine. his interactions are often hollow, due to his depression and desire to keep others at arms’ length.
HISTORY:
1) Does your OC have a family of any sort?
Henry was raised by his mother and when times got rough, her parents. his father has been out of the picture for years. he does not have any siblings.
2) Is your character out on their own?
he’s old enough to be on his own, though he occasionally asks for help from his family. he’s too proud to ask for money outright, but will return home to wash clothes or stay for a meal.
3) Have they encountered any traumatizing events?
yes, thanks to his father and Emilio.
4) What was probably the best time in their life so far?
anything involving Francine. she’s one of the few people he’s formed a genuine connection with and he treasures the times they’ve spent together.
ROMANCE:
1) Single?
he’s single from a romantic perspective, but has found a platonic life partner in his childhood friend Francine.
2) Has your OC developed any romantic relationships?
ish? I’m not sure if it’s valid anymore.
3) Virgin?
nope.
4) Does your character like flirting?
he’s a huge flirt. he’s generally harmless about it.

SHOWING THE LOVE:
1) Do you draw your character?
not as much as I could… but his face randomly shows up in sketches now and then.
2) Do you write about them?
not really. the last time I wrote about him was months ago. it had to do with a personal plot.
3) Do you use them in any RPs?
until recently, he was never an active part of the rps he was in. in his first rp the story never went in a direction where he could be properly introduced. later he went on to be an npc in SH because I have a bad habit of filling groups with my characters –even if they aren’t going to be relevant.
4) What other ways have you appreciated your OC?
Henry used to have a very distinct accent and I voice acted it before. he’s one of the few characters I’ve done a recording for.
RANDOMIZE!
1) Is your character wanted for anything?
murder, in a particular canon.
2) What are three weaknesses? What are some of their flaws?
he’s not always the most considerate person and that can impact his interactions with others. tying in with that, he can be too self-involved when it comes to himself his personal pursuits. Henry is also useless without his glasses.
3) What are their strengths?
he’s a very loyal person and can be nurturing towards loved ones (especially Francine). Henry is clever. while he can be selfish about his pursuits, they usually involve causes that will help people in the long run… showing that he has an interest in improving others’ quality of life.
4) Does your OC drink or smoke?
he used to smoke cigarettes as a teenager but gave the habit up. there was a brief time he considered growing pot for extra money but decided that there would be more cons to it than pros –namely because of his lack of proper facilities. but he was pretty excited at the prospect of working with a plant he had never grown before.
5) What’s one quirk about them?
Henry has been known to invade others’ personal space. it is common for him to get handsy during a conversation, though he never strays into inappropriate territory. it’s a behavior he is usually oblivious to, but he will stop if the person on the receiving end expresses visible or verbal discomfort.
6) Does your character have any phobias?
he’s phobic of angels because of their halos. it makes sense in context.
7) What could you do to get them into a blind rage?
mention his father or imply he’s like Emilio.
