what's your favorite thing about yeri?

“everything,” he says, a smile instantly gracing his face just by hearing that name alone. the thought of yeri already has him smiling from ear to ear. he loves everything about yeri, that’s the truth. “i love how confident she is, how straight forward she is, how funny she is, how bright she is, how sweet she is... the list is endless!”

“she’s so supportive! and she’s always there to remind me to take care of myself. you know... our biggest fight was actually when she got mad at me for getting sent to the hospital after overworking myself...” he remembers the day clearly, thankful that yeri had been there. “i think having someone like that who reminds you to take care of yourself is important! words can’t describe how thankful i am to her!” he beams. “and she’s really cute. she’s the cutest girl ever, you know? she’s tiny, like the perfect height for me to hug and rest my head on her chin. her smile is probably all i need to get through the day. she steals all my sweatshirts so automatically her fashion sense is perfect already, right?” he jokes. “and being around just feels amazing! she’s my girlfriend and my best friend all at the same time. i think i really hit the jackpot with her because she’s just amazing. my favourite thing about yeri... is that she’s yeri!”

how would you define your sexuality, and are you afraid of others finding out? what if nova did?

it’s something that haknyeon has thought about a lot. something that he himself never quite understood. “for the longest time i... i mean,” he’s not too sure how to word himself or his thoughts. “i always liked girls. i still do! i like them,” he replies, furrowing his brows. “and then i met juyeon hyung. and i really liked him. i think i’ve always liked him, even without knowing it myself i had the hugest crush on him for the longest time. hyunjoon says i was obvious but i don’t know. i never quite understood my own feelings. it took me a while to actually accept it, you know? to understand that i liked him like that. i like boys too. i like juyeon hyung a lot. like, a lot. i’m in love with him and that’s something i know for sure,” he says. “it took me a while to understand it, but if i were to put labels on it, i’m bisexual. yeah, that’s it.” and it’s actually the first time haknyeon’s confirmed that fact –– even if only to himself. 

the fear though. it’s something he’s familiar with. he hadn’t even been able to tell daniel, one of his closest friends, about this. it’s always at the tip of his tongue but he’s so afraid of how the people around him would react. “yes,” he answers truthfully. just thinking about how he can’t bring himself to tell daniel has his stomach churning. but maybe it’s because it’s daniel, because he’s so special to haknyeon. he doesn’t know. “it took me so long to not be afraid of my own feelings. i think i’m still afraid of other people finding out.”

“if nova found out. wow, if nova found out,” he bites his lip. “then i’d be really fucked.”

“since i’m good friends with ten, taeyong and jihoon i should be obliged to say them but...” a playful smile falls onto his face. “i’ve got to give it to yien. he’s really good looking! ten, taeyong and jihoon are really good looking too though! all of convex are visuals,” he nods his head.
