- Perdona. Iba a reírme, pero me he controlado porque tengo cierta clase.

ES: No sé si conocéis la serie “The Young Pope” que salió en HBO hace cosa de un año. Como su propio nombre indica, va de un hombre al que eligen muy joven para ser Papa y la protagoniza Jude Law. En su momento me hizo mucha gracia que Jude Law hubiera llegado a Papa antes que Ewan McGregor (al menos en el canon) porque son muy buenos amigos e incluso fueron compañeros de piso durante mucho tiempo.

El caso es que en la serie el personaje de Jude Law se hace amigo de la mujer de un guardia suizo (creo que a partir de cierta edad se pueden casar) y yo estaba que no podía respirar al verla tan rubita porque CLAIRE. El caso es que esta amistad no hace mucha gracia entre el clero y se puede resumir en esta escena que os comparto porque resume a la perfección EVERY SINGLE DAY de Claire desde que está en el Vaticano XD.

BTW, si tenéis curiosidad por la serie os la recomiendo totalmente. Es un poco rara pero a la vez es preciosa. Yo incluso me la compré en DVD y eso que hace tiempo que no suelo comprar series.

Postada: Jude Law es mejor amigo de Ewan McGregor y Ludivine Sagnier (la mujer del guardia suizo que ahora no me acuerdo cómo se llamaba XD) hizo de hermana pequeña de Diane Kruger en una película. Si no fuera por todas las fotos de Ewan y Diane juntos en el festival de Cannes de 2012, diría que estos dos se evitan a propósito para desquiciarme XD.

EN: I don’t know if you know the series “The Young Pope”, that premiered on HBO a year ago or so. As you can see in the title, it tells the story of a man who becomes Pope very young and he’s played by Jude Law. I thought it was funny that Jude Law played a pope before Ewan (at least as far as canon tells) because they are really good friends in real life and even were flatmates for a long time when they were younger.

One of the plotlines of the series is that Jude’s character befriends the wife of one member of the Swiss Guard (I think they can get married when they’re older) and I was shocked to see their scenes because she screamed CLAIRE to me, both of them being blond and everything. The priests around them aren’t too happy with their friendship and that can be seen in this scene, that reflects what Claire goes through EVERY SINGLE DAY in the Vatican.

BTW, if you’re curious about the series, I totally recommend it to you. It’s a little bit weird but so beautiful at the same time. I even bought it on DVD and I don’t buy series that often.

PS: Jude Law is best friends with Ewan McGregor, and Ludivine Sagnier (the swiss guard’s wife whose name I don’t remember XD) played Diane Kruger’s younger sister in a movie. If I didn’t know about Cannes Festival of 2012, I would have started to think than Ewan and Diane are hiding from each other in purpose just to make me mad XD.

“Child.” As she’s still fairly young by Venhyr standards, the elders often referred to Liyathe as a child, especially following her decision to try for the glory of being a Godslayer. Following her success and then ascension, it stopped.

"Dominance.” Contrary to her choice in lifemate, Liyathe’s thing is people fighting her for dominance. Who wins is irrelevant, the fight is important.

"Weakness.” Also contrary to her choice in lifemate.

“Raindrops on canvas, and rumbles of thunder.” The Venhyr have a spiritual attachment to thunderstorms, similar to what most religions would compare to prayer.

"Laughter from dark spaces.” Usually a good sign The Nightmare is up to something, and it rarely goes well for her.

"Zaakhyr.” As stated previously, it means vermin, and is the word the Venhyr use for humans. It’s considered swearing (not to mention the deepest of insults) to refer to another Venhyr this way.

world trivia while I finish up drafts: there are “dark elf” and “dwarf” type beings in the world, but they’re actually only one race, referred to by the Venhyr as “cave demons” (kiesva). they’re shorter than Venhyr, standing about 4′, and are stockier than Venhyr. primarily quadrupedal and, they have glands that secrete a naturally sticky substance that allows them to climb and cling to walls, floors, even ceilings, with ease, no hair, and are generally slate colored. the ones in the underground of Venhyra frequently try to steal Eisaehyr eggs to eat, but generally have no issue with the Venhyr themselves, while the kiesva around the rest of the world are much less feral and closer to actual people, often trading with the surface world

Liyathe definitely prefers to play by the rules, or at least the rules as she sees them. Miel’orzek is a much stricter, by the book sort of guy, though he’s got his moments where he’s literally just like, fuck this I can fly and you can’t.

...Sith’senra laughs at the very concept of “rules”. Which is why no one challenges him, he tends to just remove them from existence instead of fighting.
