♥ What’s the WORST thing that has happened to you rp wise?
Uh, I think definitely the drama I was talking about my previous answer. It just knocked everything out of me. I legit felt like a kid on the playground with lice, dude. It was like a giant black cloud over me for no reason. I don’t know if I couldn’t get back into the groove of things because of how I was internally feeling or if it was legit people not wanting to RP with me because how my supposed to be friends let them think I was. I don’t know. I just know it was really sucky, and had that not happened, I don’t think I ever would have started my wave of leaving every few months over the last two or so years. But who knows, maybe something else happened. I just know it unnecessarily cost me friendships that meant a lot to me, and confidence in myself.
That, and of course, having to watch some of the best friends I’ve made here go through bad stuff to the point where they had no choice but to leave. Some left without even saying a word, and that hurts. And others left, and never stopped to check in. That hurts too. But it’s good to know that they aren’t here being drained of their preciousness and their energy because people want to be mean and extra. That at least makes me feel good.
For the most part, I have. I only had one major instance of drama in my entire roleplay career. I’m partially at fault for it, and I admitted that, but the other parties wanted to proceed as if I had done them super dirty when in fact it was the other way–especially seeing how I was the only reason why they were friends. Ultimately, people who I had been GREAT friends with for months to a years time just went poof. With people they had been friends with for like a damn week. It was ridiculous. BUT OTHER THAN THAT! Things have been pretty drama-free for me. Well, excluding the drama I was in the middle in because I was the mutual friend or whatever, but that’s another story for a different day! :)
☼ How long do you stay mad?
It depends. The situation I spoke about in the question above still leaves a bad taste in my mouth, but I’m not mad per se. Not anymore, at least. But I can stay mad up to a year or more depending on what the issue is. Some things that I’ve been through and my character has been through because of others’ I’m still mad about but I keep it to myself and just try to keep away from character’s who MIGHT be the person, or even remind myself of them to save myself from anything (unless of course I’m approached and I can see for myself).
☁ Have you ever forgiven a partner when you shouldn’t have?
Actually I have! Like I followed the person on two accounts, and on one account they were in a relationship with my muse. So on the other account, they would like talk shit and try to downplay my muse, and think I didn’t know. I broke it off, and I did so in character to spare any feelings, and the person was salty! I was like, what the hell do you expect? Then! I ended up in the same directory as the person like a year later, and they didn’t know it was me, but I knew it was them. And I knew they were still shady as fuck, because other people came to me talking about it (plus the posts being mad about people thinking they were shady and shit), but I put it aside to bring some peace to myself and my character lol ultimately, they ended up leaving for good (so I assume), and luckily I haven’t encountered them for more than a year or so now. Thank gawd.
☢ What fads/trends are you so over?
Some people just seem to have this attitude that they’re better than others? I mean, of course, that’s always been in RP, but now more than ever with the evolution of how our themes look versus in 2011, and our icons rather than big ass gifs and all of that. You know, and I think that a lot of people feel as if they have to have all of that to fit in with others, and it’s just not right. I can understand not wanting to follow back someone who’s blog is 75% pictures, when yours is 75% words. That’s not it. But it’s the shutting out of people who don’t fit your mold of what a roleplayer should be. It’s when you reblog memes all day, and know you’ll get them, but don’t even return one to the person you reblogged it from. A person you’ve probably never seen get more than two memes sent to them. I don’t know, people used to be a lot more nicer and a lot more helpful to me. And it seems the longer this goes on, the more cliquey things get. The more people only look out for themselves, and try to make everything a competition. Who’s got the better theme. Who’s got the most memes sent to them. Who’s got this, who’s got that. But they forget this was all started to have fun. Because of this attitude a lot of people have got going on, RP has become more of a chore than anything at times. And I hate that because coming here used to be the highlight of my day. Now I struggle with my muse multiple times a day because I’m feeling like I’ve being judged out the ass. I hate it.
✿ What do you think about public call out posts?
It depends on the circumstance. If you notice somehow has a similar theme or has things that overlap with your character that maybe makes you raise an eye, I say privately contact them. Often we’ve had people jump down someone’s throat because of things that ended up being mere coincidences. They aren’t always, but more times than not they are. Now if you contact them and they cuss you out, and continue to steal your stuff then maybe, yeah. Sometimes it takes negative attention like that to get someone to understand that they should have more courtesy for others and their characters because most of us work very hard on them. I’m 100% for call out posts when a person has put others in danger in any way. Like a few years back we had two accounts that were going around telling people to kill themselves, and lying about their OOC situations to draw sympathy and then completely turn on the person and leak their information. THAT’S a call for a public post, most definitely. I don’t think there’s been one as of recently, or at least not one that terrorized a dozen or more people. So that’s great and I hope it stays that way.
