Just like with a human’s, KAITO’s body relaxes upon entering stand - by / sleep mode, as having to uphold tension increases toll on the energy reserves he actually recharges by sleeping. This relaxation goes for his whole system, including his voice. As higher vocal parameters increase tension and power on his output, it means the strength of these is automatically brought down as well. On lower vocal parameters, however, the KAITO V1 voicebank has a higher probability of generating engine noise which very much sounds like added hoarseness / breathiness. This, coupled with the product’s ability to produce a [ heavily ] rolling r ( as testified by e.g. ShinjouP’s Paru Nya and yanagi’s Record of the Red Eyes ) makes that, during stand - by, he might unconsciously start emitting a noise best described as ‘ hhhrrrrrr ‘ . It can be most likened to a mix between a purring cat, a washing machine humming in the background, and, well ... human snoring. At least he doesn’t do it loudly.
