Yes, there had been issues at first when they came back to Alexandria with them — these people had been hardened by their experiences OUT THERE, while a lot of people in Alexandria had barely, if ever, left the walls. Aaron being one of the few who knew how to handle himself out there.

So much had changed since those early days, though. Rick and his people were no longer the new people, they were family, and Rick now their leader, someone who Aaron held a lot of trust in. “ I trust in the decisions you make, Rick. You’re a GOOD MAN. ”

There was such a STRONG urge to protect the people of his community, to protect his family — both the newer members, Rick and his people, and those that had been part of Alexandria for longer. These people, the Saviors, they had never come up against something like them before, and while as terrified as he was, the need to FIGHT overpowered that. Along with the images that played in his head of what Negan and his people did that night. They’d made it clear what kind of people they were, and Alexandria weren’t the only victims. SOMETHING HAD TO BE DONE.

So here they were, engaged in not the first and likely not the last battle against a group of the Saviors. Aaron usually wasn’t one to choose violence, but in this situation, it was either his family, or them, and he KNEW which one he was choosing.

He was taking a moment to breathe, taking cover behind one of their makeshift armoured vehicles, eyes scanning the environment looking for his next move when he saw it. Regina. She seemed to be cornered and he couldn’t see a weapon in hand — whether it got knocked out of her grasp or not, it didn’t matter, but what did was that she was currently going head to head with one of the Saviors. WASTING NO TIME to spring to action, Aaron made sure he had a clear route towards her, the last thing he needed was to get caught in any crossfire.

aaron definitely plays. hell, kid probably plays everything. moira plays piano. i think brandon plays the guitar. as does freddie. and kaidan, and i think adrian. probably jesse and grayson. phoenix does keyboard and guitar if i’m correct. you know what, i think everyone and their mamas can play guitar. maybe you should just start paying attention boo.

the thing we like the most about you -

you’re a dork, but in a cute way —— and a dork who can utilize sarcasm like it’s his first language at that. we like that you’re clearly not a total asshole, but you’ve still got a bit of that sass in you that comes out when you’re being a smart ass. and we know you’ve got songwriting skills for days. it’s more than a lot artists out there in the industry can say for themselves. jealous hoes meek mill style may accuse you of having a ghostwriter, your lyrics are that good.

the thing we like the least about you -

alright, now for the ugly. not literally, because clearly you’re not horrible to look at, but you know what is ugly? low self-esteem. it’s a guy’s worst shortcoming when he can’t score a girl because he can’t even convince himself that he’s worth scoring them in the first place. self-pity just isn’t a good look on anyone. also, you need swim lessons, as some people have already pointed out. grab some floaties and fucking go for it.
