we’re still on the same team, right? ( from abby )
those words were spoken, and raven wasn’t sure how to respond to what abby had just said to her. her eyes looked to her, the person who had been like a mother to her. the person who took care of her, when no one else was there. and yet it felt like they had drifted apart. not that raven minded, because it was raven, and everyone left her anyway. they abandoned her like she was nothing. sometimes raven did feel like she was nothing. sometimes she wondered if that was all that she was. just nothing. “why wouldn’t we be on the same team?” she questions her softly. of course, anyone looking at raven right now, would know that she was upset for being benched. sure her hip hurt, but when didn’t it? and now she couldn’t even do the one thing that made her feel good about herself. the one thing that she enjoyed doing. because her doctor benched her. it was the only question that raven had for abby in this moment, while she was separating the scrap metal. it was all that she apparently was allowed to do in the state that she was in.
