she expect a cold destination; it was safer for liability reasons than hotter climates would have been. dehydrating too quickly or lack of water sources would not ensure a long entertaining process. the cold could be withstood longer, it could be combatted, but still it penetrated her jacket enough to make her shiver just once. her cheeks were always blushed on ivory naturally but they stung quickly now from the bite of cold. she had a compass on her wrist; she wasn’t supposed to need it past a general bearing, and once she got it she shifted her pack higher on her shoulder and her boots crunched down on the frosty ground as she took her first steps towards finding her partner through this dumbass idea she’d decided would be fun.
maybe it would be; no...it definitely would be. this is what she did and alaska was harsh in its own right; she could hack this.
