* blasts ocean man through the intercom at 100% volume. So sorry Simon, but we're doing this for the giggles*

[🩸] At first he tries going deeper where he knows the intercom should cut off, but that doesn't work. "You think this is funny?!" he growls at the speaker on the wall, "You send me down here to die and then you taunt me with this bullshit?!" He waits a moment to see if the music will cut off and if anyone's voice will come through.

Only the music continues.

It's entirely grating on his nerves, especially after everything he's seen already. He's not alone down here. He's got a fucking alien thing following him around, almost taunting him in its own way. The COI playing mind games with him was growing higher and higher on his list.

Gritting his teeth, Simon grabs the broken fire extinguisher from the floor and grips it in his hand. Turning back to the speaker, he swings at it with full force. "SHUT THE FUCK UP!" he screams, smashing the extinguisher into the speaker in hopes that it will shut up!

Body horror + HC for Simon

Headcanons

[🩸] For Simon and body horror I have a few headcanons. Just in case people haven't seen the film but want to and/or don't want body horror details, I'm gunna pop it under a readmore~

I headcanon that Simon's face is pretty messed up. The whole left side is especially bad. Along his left cheek going from the corner of his mouth all the way towards his left ear he has a whole extension of his mouth that looks pretty gnarly and with sharp teeth. The gums show and it looks uncomfortable, and for Simon it largely is. He had trouble looking at himself in the mirror because it stands out. It's not something he can easily hide. His left eye is red instead of brown and there's some scarring along his forehead from all the mutations the blood was doing to his skin. Above his left eye it's most prominent with two large gash-like scars.

His torso is pretty scarred up as well. Beyond just the physical damage of being tossed around, he was also sitting and swimming in the blood for periods of time which caused scaring, especially along his left side of his body. He has a rather significant looking, almost burn-like pattern that's caused the skin to go red and wrinkly, all along his left side and it kind of feathers out over his back and across his chest towards his right side.

His legs have deep gashes on them and some significant chunks of skin that have just gone missing from the growths that tried to form there over his pants. His legs still work, but he has some numbness to them in certain areas.

We can't forget that Simon also gets his arm ripped off!! His left arm specifically. It was a rather nasty break, breaking just above the elbow and leaving him with a stump and a jagged bone sticking out of it. There is significant scarring over the area with a weird bulbous vein-like pattern that spreads up the stump and seems to taper off into his shoulder. His right arm is also scarred, with his nails being more claw-like than they used to be, but at least he still has it.

Overall, his body is pretty bad after everything...So if anyone wants a man who looks like a monster..!! ;)

A side note, I also kind of like the idea of Simon's body mutating and him regrowing his arm back. It's not like...a normal arm. It's definitely mutated, all veiny and weird, with teeth growing out of it in places. It looks grotesque and wrong and he hates it.

*beyond the sea by Bobby Darin starts to play through Simon's Intercom*

[🩸] There is tension in his shoulders as he hears the music start to play. Looking up at the intercom, the sound is a little garbled and sounds almost distant, but he can make out that it's music. Something older, something about the ocean and finding love. "Tch.." he scoffs, "Fuck off..." The COI must be having a field day playing with his life like this. Assholes.
