Dorothea shivered and hugged her knees to her chest. Despite the arid heat outside, the warehouse was cool (and admittedly refreshing), but it only took a few minutes for her body to adjust.
She sighed and shuffled through her bag. Luckily, this trip had yielded many plant samples for research, among some other oddities she'd picked up along the way -- but those were more for others. She had friends who might need such things.

Dorothea turned her head towards the sound.
