nico tiptoed down the stairs to her backyard pool, trying to make it to a seat before her toes sizzled away. it was too damn hot, but she’d found a great issue lately was that she was too damn pale. that mean wearing your skimpiest bikini to try and tan. she’d go topless if her dad wasn’t so insistent on staying home instead of leaving her alone for once. with a soft, petulant sigh, she stripped off the little sundress she’d put on her tiny swimsuit. she hadn’t wanted to face the interrogation about where she got it, where she was going, who had seen it, just sit in the backyard. the young girl pushed her sunglasses down onto her face and stretched out with a giggle.
