He’s got to admit, he’s not really enjoying his time aboard the Infinity.

The vanguard of humanity, they call it. Rank upon rank of SPARTAN-IV supersoldiers, borne from the largest ship ever built by humanity- more structure than vehicle, laden with massive weapons and two extremely experimental engines.

And he cannot stand it. He’d somewhat scrubbed his memory of SPARTANs that weren’t himself, kept his mind on insurgent, local cops, and ONI field agents. But here he was, surrounded by hundreds of people clad in the armor that he felt some small ownership over.

And then he met another one. Another Beta-company survivor, of course, in the flesh. Christian, Lucy, and now her. He’d heard little tidbits from ONI friends, bits here and there: Noble Six, an asset that was beyond even him. He assumed it was a SPARTAN-II, but it seemed that wasn’t the case.

“Hermana mía, tu regalo le ha dado sentido a esta absurda costumbre mortal. Sabes que no necesitas darme nada más que tu compañía, pero que hayas elegido estas hermosas rosas para mí no va a pasar desapercibido” dijiste, atesorando como dos partes de un mismo ser aquel tesoro. Después tomaste una de las flores y con mucha delicadeza la pusiste en la cabellera de la diosa lunar como un ajuar casto que le recordará esa virginal belleza que adorabas desde niños. “…Como lo creí, incluso ellas palidecen a tu lado”.

Picking up a exacto knife, he carefully cut the seam open, lifting the flaps to see a large amount of styrofoam peanuts and a sealed envelope on top. Now, looking at the writing, it was hard to see who it was who wrote this, but there was one key detail which changed it all; ‘Icelus’. That was his real name.

Only gods and his family called him by that name.

does Artemis have a favorite aunt?

They’re all so different, though!

Thea is more of a sister than an Aunt to her because they’re so close in age. [born same year, but Thea was born in JAN where my Arty was born in JULY] They’re shopping buddies, party buddies, etc. They tend to get into a lot of trouble with Oliver together. [The least strict one]

Sara is the one she goes too the most when she needs comforting.

Laurel/Dinah is the one who teaches her how to fight & is the one she goes to when she’s in trouble [over her head w/ how many goons shes up against] or knows her father is after her. [The most strict]

Felicity teaches her how to code & hack into all sorts of things. She gets to show off to Dick what she can do & its friendly competition between them both.
