             there were only two beings. she who was so full of life that it bubbled out of her and created all that is living, and he who knew that all life must eventually come to an end. they were two parts of a whole. together, they knew the value of one another. however, when more life began to grow, the others learned to revere life and hate death. they pulled him from the sky and tore his wings from him. they left him abandoned and cold far away from where life could see. as he wandered alone, cynicism and steely purpose began to run through his veins. life searched for him. she was distraught by his absence and without hope. there could be no life without hope. her wings no longer worked. so she fell. life would forsake her divinity to find death, and when they reunited, she was but a mortal. still he knew, she would be the one he could never kill.
