I just think that Despair would have a field day with Solas. They’d be So Giddy they wouldn’t even know what scab to pick at and what wound to pour acid in lol

Friendly reminder, and I do mean friendly, this isn’t directed at anyone in particular it’s preemptive before I have this problem again. If you want to plot with Despair it’s a LOT easier for me if you have a definite idea of what you want. Despair is a tricky muse and while I love them , to play them right risks a lot of godmodding if I don’t know exactly what’s cool and what’s not cool between me and the other mun.

I have to put a lot of work into crafting what Despair will say to your character, looking through headcanon and bios and digging a lot and I might miss things or maybe even misread/misinterpret stuff. I don’t mean to but it just goes to prove how intensive a character Despair can be and one of the reasons they are on a multimuse instead of their own blog, as I can burn out on their character pretty fast if I’m not careful.

Basically just, they might be a mindreader but I’M not, please work with me folks.

While Despair hates darkspawn for the danger the monsters pose to their host’s body Despair conversely adores those afflicted with the taint who have yet to fully turn. More often than not they’re rife with despair and regret over their illness and prime targets for Despair’s antics and ‘care’.

first time they peak into his noggin - “Such sweet despair in this one, shame to be one of the stone. Harder to crack but sweeter for the inevitable struggle.”

    Despair very much likes the taste of both sweet and spicy food but hates sour things.

    Despair still retains some amount of muscle memory from Lucinda’s body and mind. It is how they manage to walk, speak common, know of basic functions like eating and sleeping and other things that are needed to keep the body they possess alive.

    And Despair does keep Lucinda’s body in relatively good condition, they do not want to inhabit a corpse.

|| Despair Headcanon ||

    Despair is not a fast acting demon, they will whittle away and feed off the emotions of a target for weeks and even months at a time.

    Despair does not always seek to kill their victims, at times they are spared when living is the more painful option for them. Other times it is because another, with more potent sorrow catches their attention.

    A victim that Despair has invested a significant amount of time on can even convince the demon to spare them so long as they are clever enough in their wording, and can manage to find a way to appeal to what slivers of Hope remain within Despair.
