Do tell! What inspired you to take the direction you have with Hinata?
(Multiple factors and inspirations led to my portrayal of Hinata, her departure, and where she stands now. It's been a while but, I'll start thus;
I was brought to help tell a story as I had interest in playing this character anyway. I was given what and where they were and how it would play out. But ultimately, I would be in charge of the behavior of the character and where they'd end up. As long as the car reached the right destination, it didn't matter the route there.
So that led to setting. It was a modern setting, but within the basic Marvel continuity. I took inspiration from the fanfic 'Pure Genius' (I'll link later as it's late and mobile is uncooperative) to set up Hinata's station in life. Then I take my knowledge from MCU and 616 Marvel to meet in the middle ground of both, set up her world and set up how the Byakugan could work.
Now, I can't say what the end game goal is, that's part of the mystery, but the idea to make this an IC blog, one where the reader could interact with the character was an earnest goal. Anyone reading this can message hina and speak to her as you would anyone else through this website. You, the player or you the character.
In that way, she's designed to be like an ARG existing in real time. Which lends to the Journals. Hinata's journals started in April of 2017, and are meant to be a log of what is happening, sometimes when.
I guess I'm overall inspired by Lovecraftian storytelling and actually telling a story to an audience. And that pen is slowly jotting down the notes, taking into account and building up. It took three years just to play the character I'm actually playing, so we'll see what comes next!)
