Once Matt had enough mobility to move and get back up on his feet, Ash was sure he's been itching to move around, inviting him to the rink while he continues prepping for the summer camps, always doing due diligence before the kids come in to have a good camp. And today's work, he could use an extra pair of expert hands that knows what they're doing. Even if Matt hasn't played seriously in a long time, the hockey instinct and skills don't go away that easily.
"We're just checking all of their equipment and sticks, any of the bad ones go into a pile and I'll put in the order for new ones," Ash explained as he sat by the side, checking the skate blades that the rink had first. "A lot of the older kids have their own gear, but some still use what the campus rinks have before they can afford getting their own." Ash looked up to his friend, "think you can handle shooting a few pucks into net with the kid sticks?"
